Alex Trebek Had Rampage On The Mind After “Jeopardy!” Nerds Couldn’t Answer A Single Football Question

In professional circles, Alex Trebek has a sterling reputation as the ultimate gentleman’s gentleman (apparently that’s a slang term for a butler, but if you told me Trebek’s name was Jeeves I would believe you). Maybe it’s Trebek’s Canadian upbringing that makes him so genteel. Or maybe he’s been doing this game show thing for too damn long to get worked up about anything. Whatever the case, Trebek usually handles himself and his contestants with the utmost class and dignity.

But the Jeopardy! host looked like he was about to fly off the handle and straight up murder everyone in sight when not one contestant could answer a single goddamn question (answer?) in the Football category.

To the average viewer, Trebek seems to handle the situation like your dad. He’s not mad, just disappointed. But to a trained expert in Trebekian mannerisms such as myself, he’s got brutal and unspeakable carnage on the mind.

Take this look, for example, after no one knew what an option was.

Alex may just look mildly bummed, but what his body language is really saying is, “If there weren’t any witnesses here, I would hang, draw, and quarter all of you fucking dweebs.”

Let’s take a look at another Trebek reaction.

It may seem like Alex is simply demonstrating a fair catch signal, but in actuality, he’s miming how he’s going to stab Ryan after the show.

Now this last look, even for a neophyte in all things Trebek, may as well be called “The Murder Stare.”

Yikes! I wouldn’t wish that look on my worst enemy. But hey, that’s what happens when you anger the Trebek. And during Super Bowl week of all times. RIP, Jeopardy! nerds. RIP..
