they look like the whitish cloth topsiders. i don’t find anything wrong with shorts while the weather is still hot at balls outside especially if you are going to the game and will be in a crowded stadium. there is no reason for the backwards hat though unless he is accessorizing. TSM?
If you wanted to dress in SEC attire, you would never wear shorts with a blazer. You would also never have a lanyard, and you and your date wouldn’t be herding cattle toward the stadium.
Also, if you’re wearing a tie, the top button of your shirt should be buttoned. And if you were a real gentleman, you would be on the outside of the sidewalk. Sheer disrespect for the lady.
