    1. Southern Belle

That picture is in front of the UGA Zeta house…not UA. Seems like the Alabama paper can’t be bothered to do any first-hand reporting. UGA’s KA chapter ended the parade in Confederate uniform a few years ago.

wrong southern belle… this is at alabama. nice try. If any of you anything about it you would know that the damn AKA house is right across the street and someone took the picture because on the same day of the parade, they were having their family weekend. This caused a huge up roar and last year was the first year that Alabama was not aloud to have a parade. So maybe you can get your first hand reporting right and go make a sandwich.

What is not frat about this picture? It shows Greeks honoring Confederate soliders. If you don’t like the South, stay in the North. You’re NOT needed here.

  2. Gen. George S. Fratton

Then go back to Britain, communist. It’s not about the confederacy, it’s about the Old South. Your new money can’t buy tradition.

That is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. The Confederacy didn’t lose because it was composed of “pussies;” it lost because it was outnumbered ten-to-one and had an asset pool overwhelmingly composed of cash crops, which don’t really help in a war. It isn’t a sign of poor skill to lose under those conditions and the relative success of the Confederacy in the face of adversity is a strong indicator of valor and prudent strategy. In the second place, the secessionists were only traitors if you disagree with the principles of the founding fathers. If it’s treason to rise up against an unpopular government that is perceived as unjust and for which no one in a territory voted, then George Washington and Thomas Jefferson are traitors as well. Remember that Jefferson said that the blood of fresh patriots had to be spilled periodically on the altar of liberty and that a revolution every decade or so was desirable.
