Arizona Kicker Who Missed Game-Winning Field Goal And Faked Injury Is Target Of Death Threats

When the University of Arizona’s Casey Skowron missed the chip shot field goal this weekend to beat USC and advance deeper into the top 10, he likely knew he was going to hear about it for a while.

However, he probably didn’t expect the onslaught of hatred that came his way. Since Saturday, Skowron has been the target of numerous nasty messages for missing the kick that would have given Arizona a one-point lead with less than 10 seconds to play.

Here are highlights of the game, which none of us watched, because real college football ends at 10 p.m. EST:

The school came out swinging against anybody who sent Skowron a message, which ranged from death threats to wishing cancer on his entire family. Molly Omara, an associate athletic director for the school, called those fans cowards.

It must suck to be a college kicker. How do you go to class the next Monday? Do your friends and roommates just not mention it? Unless you are lights out, people only remember your name because you fucked up. Why would anybody want to be the kicker? Just be a punter. Or maybe just a long snapper. Those dudes live the life.

Skowron is 13 of 18 on the year and had actually made the kick on the first attempt, but it was nullified by a USC timeout. Unfortunately, he will forever be known as the shitty kicker who fucked up the Wildcats’ shot at making the four-team playoff–even though there was no chance they were going to finish this season undefeated.

At least he isn’t former Alabama kicker Cade Foster, who deleted every social media account and probably went into hiding after last year’s debacle at Auburn.

Long snappers get all of the trickle down banging… None of the responsibility

I don’t think you understand statistics. I bet you think Michael Jordan is a terrible basketball player too with all those shots he’s missed.

I mean, he made the first one, and is 13/18 on the year. In college, that good enough for a top 10 team. You should probably watch more than 7 seconds of the dudes life before you make that call . . .

Him and Clemson’s center could be great buds. They both know how to royally shit the bed.

The end of this is incorrect, Cade Foster went in to hiding after the 2011 game vs LSU at Tuscaloosa. Adam Griffith kicked against Auburn when they returned it. Get your shit right stickers

    1. Foster was the starting kicker in the 2013 Iron Bowl. He went 0-3, so they let backup kicker Adam Griffith attempt the 57-yard attempt as time expired. THAT kick was on the right path but came up a couple yards short, which led to Chris Davis returning it 109 yards for a TD. Foster then received death threats because, you know, he really fucked up. For a man, with bama in his username you seem pretty fucking clueless about Bama football. You’re probably a HS student, and you should chug bleach.

Well the main Cade Foster fiasco, which included death threats and deletion of social media that I remember was after the LSU game. I felt like the returned FG kind of overshadowed the misses in the Auburn game. I go to Alabama and I probably know more about football than you know about women’s genetalia.

      2. If you actually believe that people were angrier about Griffith barely missing a 57 yarder than about Foster missing three kicks under 50 yards, then you clearly don’t attend the University of Alabama.

Kicker is such a high pressure position. People only remember your mistakes.

Story is he tried to kill himself. Took his dad’s gun and lined it up perfectly right inbetween his eyes. He even pulled the trigger but he pulled it three feet left

Our high school kicker missed twice, including a chip shot to win in the playoffs. In the locker room he got his ass beat, complete with one of those tall aluminum wastebaskets across his back, and then the trash emptied out on top of him. But he was sort of a douche, so maybe that played a part too.
