Arizona’s Delta Sigma Phi Booted From Campus Until 2018
Less than 24 hours after LSU’s Acacia chapter was removed from campus for hazing, a chapter at the University of Arizona is finding themselves facing the same fate.
Arizona’s Delta Sigma Phi chapter was removed from campus on Thursday after an investigation surrounding a fraternity event that occurred on January 31. According to reports, the main allegation was an incident involving alcohol hazing that led to the incapacitation of several pledges.
From Arizona Daily Star:
At least two new members passed out, several vomited and one lost control of his bodily functions during the Jan. 31 incident that occurred while Delta Sigma Phi was under an alcohol ban and already on probation for previous misconduct.
The pledges reportedly referred to the three actives who are responsible for the incident as “sociopaths.” The chapter’s list of charges was slightly fluffed with fewer serious allegations, such as providing alcohol to minors, making pledges clean the house and, calling the actives “sir.”
The national organization had the following comment regarding the chapter’s dismissal from campus.
“Despite the chapter’s strengths, poor decision-making and repeated disregard for the fraternity’s policies on alcohol use and hazing ultimately prompted a strong response,” said a news release from the national headquarters.
“The fraternity cannot, and will not, tolerate blatant disregard toward our policies and standards,” it said.
With the removal of Delta Sigma Phi, six fraternities have now been kicked off of the University of Arizona’s campus since 2012.
The chapter may apply for reinstatement in May 2018 as long as all current members are gone..

The news report detailed this as a “Graphic letter” describing the pledge process, yeah maybe forcing pledges to drink water and alcohol may be too much, but getting in trouble for disciplining pledges for disrespecting girls and holding interviews with brothers to get to know them? Come on. This is the pussification of America in the purest form.

11 years ago at 11:16 amI am in one of the other houses at U of A. For those of you asking, the school has been sticking their fist up every fraternities ass. So far, that some fraternities are using guest lists, cutting off girls at the door because of capacity and some don’t serve hard alcohol any more, just beer. I’m not saying this is good or bad, but its one hell of a pain in the ass. It won’t be long until we are all gone…
11 years ago at 12:51 pmThere is no such thing as “alcohol hazing.” That is us giving the pledges a reward for completing the real hazing!

11 years ago at 2:07 pmOne of the charges was making the pledges call them “Sir”? The hell is wrong with that?
