Army Ranger Vet Completely Dominates Dude Posing As A Soldier

I get what the first guy is saying, but the second guy is an idiot. He obviously doesn’t know the difference between a Ranger Tab and a Ranger Scroll. No shit the 101st is an Infantry division, just as the 75th is an Infantry Regiment. Ranger qualified (Tabbed) soldiers, NCO’s, and officers can serve in any MOS/branch in any unit. That being said, the guy is a fake (or a total dumbass).

Also, there is absolutely nothing that states a civilian can’t wear any part of any uniform. But name and branch tapes, unit insignias, and awards are supposed to be removed. Why someone would want to is beyond me then again, I never wore my uniform off post either.

Actually its a violation of 18 USC 702, here is the exact text of that section:

“Whoever, in any place within the jurisdiction of the United States or in the Canal Zone, without authority, wears the uniform or a distinctive part thereof or anything similar to a distinctive part of the uniform of any of the armed forces of the United States, Public Health Service or any auxiliary of such, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.”

So even with the insignia removed, its technically a violation to wear the clothing (even fatigues). I was in ROTC in college and we were explicitly told we couldn’t wear our fatigues around for shits and giggles (e.g. as a halloween costume). That being said, if you buy some surplus fatigues to wear for a costume/halloween, I doubt anyone is going to bust your balls or throw you in jail… unless you’re like this bag’o’dicks and also tell people you’re a veteran/member of the armed forces.

That guy does know what he is talking about, he said he served in the 75th. Wearing the tab does not make you a Ranger, it means you are Ranger qual’d.

As a soldier, I was able to point out his mistakes just by looking at his shoulder. Go earn those tabs, douche.

Defenders of Gomer Pyle, straight up heroes. If this story were made into a movie it would be called “Saving Private Lyin”. Rated P for Pussies.

Just as a side note, the Ranger confronting the poser is Kristopher Vieira and he was arrested after this for supposedly disturbing the peace.
