ATΩ Chapter Skips Spring Break Trip To Walk 160 Miles For Charity

Road trips, scattered 18 to 22-year-old tanned and oiled up trim, beach beers, and a sea of Spring Break debauchery were not in the cards for the Alpha Tau Omega chapter at Grand Valley State, and that’s perfectly okay, because they spent the week about as selflessly as a group of college kids can: raising money for charity, research funding for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to be exact.

Fifteen brothers from the Grand Valley Alpha Tau Omega chapter spent the past eight days walking from Allendale, near Grand Rapids, to Traverse City – all to raise money for multiple sclerosis.

The guys raised almost $15,000 from their 160 mile walk.

Watch out for that car, guys.
Watch out for that car, guys.

They spent all but one night during this journey sleeping on church benches and floors, and the other night in a hotel to catch up on some well-earned rest and comfort.

The walk ended [Friday] afternoon at the TC History Center – celebrating with hot chili, sandwiches, massages, and cold beer.

See, they got a couple cold beers in this Spring Break after all. A job well done, gentlemen.

Get a grip. This is a Real Frat Move and the only input you have is to bash on another organization. Good for you, hope you feel like a big man.
