Atlanta Braves Continue The Hazing Of Rookies At Wrigley Field’s Nearby Starbucks
There’s something about Wrigley Field’s nearby Starbucks that really makes it a perfect place to haze rookies.
On Sunday, the Braves had an early game against the Chicago Cubs. And you don’t want your veterans playing a game all groggy and non-caffeinated, do you? No, you don’t. So Braves veterans sent a few rookies to Starbucks for a coffee run in full uniform.
Those are the faces of some broken men.
Now, we’ve seen this before with the L.A. Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals players, but the Braves vets took it another step further. Teammates looked out from the stadium with a megaphone, letting everyone know Braves players were at Starbucks and everyone should get their autographs. Ruthless.
The Braves are currently hollering at people through a megaphone outside Wrigley haha. #MLB #Cubs pic.twitter.com/ELXDASTCmN

#Braves sent rookies, in uniform, across street to Starbucks for coffee. Upon return, Gomes thru megaphone, "Put the coffees on the table."

This is turning into a “thing” and I couldn’t be more excited. Not a single rookie is going to tell a cranky, non-caffeinated veteran he’s not gonna be his coffee gopher. That’s a one-way ticket to the minors.
Oh, and MLB rosters expand in September. Forecast calls for frequent hazing with a moderate chance of humiliation. Have fun, rooks..
This is what I like to see
