Baker Mayfield Trying To Out Trash Talk Steve Smith Is The Most Adorable Thing You’ll See All Day

When it comes to increasing levels of adorableness, it goes babies doing baby things, puppy videos, and then Baker Mayfield attempting to hold his own in a trash-talking session with Steve Smith.

This interview between Smith and Mayfield may have been shared by the Baltimore Ravens Twitter account, but it also could’ve easily nabbed the top evergreen story on this morning’s Today Show. What a wily little rascal Baker is!

You maybe could argue that Baker held his own in this light verbal sparring against a guy who put “Sr.” on the back of his jersey and who “came out of the womb trash-talking.” But Baker’s dealing with the false confidence of 1) knowing he’d never actually play safety and 2) knowing that Steve Smith is retired and pushing 40.

In other words, for Baker, this was just a harmless hypothetical. But for Steve, he was probably ready to sign a one-year deal on the spot just for the chance to suit up, line up as blitzing corner, take Baker’s head off, and do the Safety Dance over his lifeless body.

I mean, you’ve seen what he can do to linebackers. Can’t even imagine what he’d do to Baker Mayfield.
