Big Ups To This Iowa State Rep For Letting It All Hang Out In The Statehouse Chambers

You have to appreciate the size of the testiculars on Republican state Rep. Ross Paustian for letting his “dirty old man” hang out on the floor of the Statehouse Chambers during a discussion of public school teachers’ collective bargaining rights.

So casual, yet so focused on the material. Sex After Sixty. Not a care in the world. So good. He even does that thing old people do who are a bit more farsighted than near, where they extend their reading material out away from their face while leaning back, and their chin multiplies. Such a great move. What a shot this is.

Turns out it was a prank at the hands of a fellow state rep.

Paustian, 59, told the Des Moines Register the book was passed to him by fellow Rep. Robert Bacon, also a Republican.

“I’m getting a lot of pretty vicious emails from people, so I have to explain,” Paustian told ABC affiliate KCRG. “The main thing is I was totally engaged in what was going on on the floor … I knew what was going on. I knew how we were going to vote on amendments. So it wasn’t like I wasn’t paying attention to what was going on.”
