#BrianWilliamsMisremembers Photoshop Jobs On Twitter Are Immaculately Roasting The NBC Anchor Right Now
Earlier this week, “NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams redacted, on-air, a story in which he claimed to have survived a crash in a U.S. Army Chinook helicopter. Dubbed “Choppergate,” Williams said his helicopter was hit by an RPG when he was reporting from Iraq during the initial American invasion in 2003. Williams seems to be in trouble — at least in the public eye — after evidence indicated he was in the “second bird,” directly behind the chopper that was taken down. However, according to the pilot, it is unclear if even one chopper crashed.
Williams stated that his intention in storytelling was never aimed at stealing valor from a U.S. service member, but that it was rather a case of “misremembering” the events. Although he apologized on Wednesday, it still couldn’t save him from the creative people on the internet who have too much time on their hands.
The #BrianWilliamsMisremembers hashtag has been running rampant all over Twitter, and people are having a ton of fun with it. It’s all about photoshopping Williams into the center of some of the largest news and pop culture stories in history in hilarious ways.

This is what happens these days. If you’re a public figure and you fuck up in the public sphere, you get ridiculed on social media by people you don’t know until you either redeem yourself or die. Sorry, Brian Williams, but I think you kind of brought it upon yourself this time. But everyone makes mistakes. For what it’s worth, you’re still a phenomenal reporter in every capacity — or maybe I’m misremembering right now. Who knows?.
This is really honestly too bad.. He was my favorite anchor and In a field where credibility and trust is the basis of your job you can’t do this shit . He undoubtedly needs to go.
