Cardale Jones In A Little Trouble For Sharing His Thoughts About Women Sports Fans

Cardale Jones, the Ohio State quarterback who has never started a college football game that didn’t end with him celebrating in confetti, is in a bit of hot water after tweeting what some would call “misogynistic” thoughts about female sports fans.
98.99%? Is that a peer-reviewed statistic or did it appear in the journal of GFY? pic.twitter.com/pjvhBvnlpG

While his thoughts are probably shared by a lot of people (even girls), it’s never smart to broadcast controversial opinions as a public figure because the media will hammer you for it. Especially in the summer when sports columnists are vultures yearning for stories like this to fill their weekly publishing quotas. Former West Virginia quarterback Clint Trickett shared similar thoughts last year and was forced to apologize and delete his Twitter account.
I think everyone can agree that Jones is not exactly Twitter savvy. Who remembers his tweet about going to class? We all do, because it is the greatest athlete tweet of all time.

Jones also used Twitter to promote a fake transfer to the University of Akron on “May Fools,” a holiday he made up last month.
Jones is playing the “I was hacked” card, presumably after getting hundreds of frantic texts from the football PR department. It’s a move nobody actually believes, but will accept because Jones’ little stunt was pretty harmless.
I need to change my Twitter password 😡

BTW, those wasn't my tweets about females and sports, I don't comment on race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, politics or gender, goodnight

😂 people wait patiently just to see when you screw up, go stalk someone else's social media

I wouldn’t be surprised if they forced him to delete his Twitter account, but what’s the point now? Everybody knows Jones is terrible at Twitter so they should just let him embrace it. Thoughts on Caitlyn Jenner? Tweet away, bud. 2016 presidential election in the swing state of Ohio? Do your worst, man. “Hot Topics With Cardale” is something I’d gladly tune into every week.
As long as Jones keeps winning championships, I think Buckeyes fans will find it in their hearts to forgive him..

? it’s spelled right?
10 years ago at 11:27 amFor once, I’m going to go with Steve on this one. Pretty sure he’s right.
10 years ago at 11:31 amWell. This is awkward now that the original comment was deleted.
10 years ago at 11:32 amface ass
10 years ago at 11:39 amI mean he wasn’t wrong about the stereotype though.
10 years ago at 11:28 amIf people are going to make this into a story, that’s fine. But considering that pretty much every not-horrible human on the planet holds this same opinion, the story should be more along the lines of US Weekly’s “Stars, They’re Just Like Us” page, rather making a widely agreed upon view somehow controversial.
Not to mention he didn’t even mention the worst offenders, that is, girls who either 1) ask profoundly idiotic questions during a game and/or 2) pretend to like and know about sports just to impress people when really they’re just regurgitating a sentence they memorized from sports center.

10 years ago at 7:53 amCalling Bruce Caitlyn? NF
10 years ago at 11:28 amBeing respectful? FaF
10 years ago at 9:35 amSo you must be the new guy.
10 years ago at 6:35 pmNah, I think it’s “vulchers”, as in “one who vulches”.
10 years ago at 11:29 amFucking Libs. Havent they and the feminist movement ever heard of the word tolerance? Fuck them and their over sensitive commie fuck faces.
10 years ago at 11:29 amDamnit Cardale stay off Twitter
10 years ago at 11:31 amWho is Caitlyn Jenner?
10 years ago at 11:37 amI think the most annoying thing about this refusal to call her Caitlyn is that somehow the tiny bit of displeasure you get from the existence of a transgender person is more important than than the immense amount of happiness she gets from calling her Caitlyn.
Seems like a shitty attitude with which to go through life.
10 years ago at 12:31 pmYeah… Totally

10 years ago at 1:42 pmYour picture makes me want to kill more kids, asshole
10 years ago at 4:14 pmHe can cut his penis off and try to go by “Caitlyn” but it’s still Bruce.
10 years ago at 11:36 pmI’m going to get lapped but I agree, it doesn’t affect you so who cares? Let em live.
10 years ago at 1:16 pmIt wouldn’t be an issue if it wasn’t such a big issue with the media. They’re blowing it out of portion. And calling him a “hero” is unnecessary
10 years ago at 6:07 pmHero is definitely unnecessary, but how many other transgender people can you name?
10 years ago at 7:10 pmOk I agreed until this comment. No the dumb man slut isn’t a hero, he’s just a fucking crazy person who’s personal and professional life put so much pressure on him he went completely insane and cut off his penis. As for knowing any other transgenders, there are thousands more. You just don’t hear about them because they were never a “celebrity”
10 years ago at 12:50 amYou got into college without knowing the difference between portion and proportion? Jesus Christ.
10 years ago at 2:49 amLet’s not forget the tweet about him beating a kid in the hospital by 63 points.
10 years ago at 11:43 amTNM
10 years ago at 11:49 amEveryone is upset about his views on female sports fans. No one is upset about having a sophomore in college who is barely literate.
10 years ago at 11:50 amDid u miss the “class is pointless” tweet? He doesn’t need your edumacation he has fooball.
10 years ago at 12:47 amMy money is on a single-digit Wonderlic.
