Cardale Jones In A Little Trouble For Sharing His Thoughts About Women Sports Fans

Cardale Jones, the Ohio State quarterback who has never started a college football game that didn’t end with him celebrating in confetti, is in a bit of hot water after tweeting what some would call “misogynistic” thoughts about female sports fans.

While his thoughts are probably shared by a lot of people (even girls), it’s never smart to broadcast controversial opinions as a public figure because the media will hammer you for it. Especially in the summer when sports columnists are vultures yearning for stories like this to fill their weekly publishing quotas. Former West Virginia quarterback Clint Trickett shared similar thoughts last year and was forced to apologize and delete his Twitter account.

I think everyone can agree that Jones is not exactly Twitter savvy. Who remembers his tweet about going to class? We all do, because it is the greatest athlete tweet of all time.

Jones also used Twitter to promote a fake transfer to the University of Akron on “May Fools,” a holiday he made up last month.

Jones is playing the “I was hacked” card, presumably after getting hundreds of frantic texts from the football PR department. It’s a move nobody actually believes, but will accept because Jones’ little stunt was pretty harmless.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they forced him to delete his Twitter account, but what’s the point now? Everybody knows Jones is terrible at Twitter so they should just let him embrace it. Thoughts on Caitlyn Jenner? Tweet away, bud. 2016 presidential election in the swing state of Ohio? Do your worst, man. “Hot Topics With Cardale” is something I’d gladly tune into every week.

As long as Jones keeps winning championships, I think Buckeyes fans will find it in their hearts to forgive him.

For once, I’m going to go with Steve on this one. Pretty sure he’s right.

If people are going to make this into a story, that’s fine. But considering that pretty much every not-horrible human on the planet holds this same opinion, the story should be more along the lines of US Weekly’s “Stars, They’re Just Like Us” page, rather making a widely agreed upon view somehow controversial.

Not to mention he didn’t even mention the worst offenders, that is, girls who either 1) ask profoundly idiotic questions during a game and/or 2) pretend to like and know about sports just to impress people when really they’re just regurgitating a sentence they memorized from sports center.

I think the most annoying thing about this refusal to call her Caitlyn is that somehow the tiny bit of displeasure you get from the existence of a transgender person is more important than than the immense amount of happiness she gets from calling her Caitlyn.

Seems like a shitty attitude with which to go through life.

I’m going to get lapped but I agree, it doesn’t affect you so who cares? Let em live.

It wouldn’t be an issue if it wasn’t such a big issue with the media. They’re blowing it out of portion. And calling him a “hero” is unnecessary

Hero is definitely unnecessary, but how many other transgender people can you name?

Ok I agreed until this comment. No the dumb man slut isn’t a hero, he’s just a fucking crazy person who’s personal and professional life put so much pressure on him he went completely insane and cut off his penis. As for knowing any other transgenders, there are thousands more. You just don’t hear about them because they were never a “celebrity”

You got into college without knowing the difference between portion and proportion? Jesus Christ.

Let’s not forget the tweet about him beating a kid in the hospital by 63 points.

Everyone is upset about his views on female sports fans. No one is upset about having a sophomore in college who is barely literate.
