Cardale Jones In A Little Trouble For Sharing His Thoughts About Women Sports Fans

Cardale Jones, the Ohio State quarterback who has never started a college football game that didn’t end with him celebrating in confetti, is in a bit of hot water after tweeting what some would call “misogynistic” thoughts about female sports fans.
98.99%? Is that a peer-reviewed statistic or did it appear in the journal of GFY? pic.twitter.com/pjvhBvnlpG

While his thoughts are probably shared by a lot of people (even girls), it’s never smart to broadcast controversial opinions as a public figure because the media will hammer you for it. Especially in the summer when sports columnists are vultures yearning for stories like this to fill their weekly publishing quotas. Former West Virginia quarterback Clint Trickett shared similar thoughts last year and was forced to apologize and delete his Twitter account.
I think everyone can agree that Jones is not exactly Twitter savvy. Who remembers his tweet about going to class? We all do, because it is the greatest athlete tweet of all time.

Jones also used Twitter to promote a fake transfer to the University of Akron on “May Fools,” a holiday he made up last month.
Jones is playing the “I was hacked” card, presumably after getting hundreds of frantic texts from the football PR department. It’s a move nobody actually believes, but will accept because Jones’ little stunt was pretty harmless.
I need to change my Twitter password 😡

BTW, those wasn't my tweets about females and sports, I don't comment on race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, politics or gender, goodnight

😂 people wait patiently just to see when you screw up, go stalk someone else's social media

I wouldn’t be surprised if they forced him to delete his Twitter account, but what’s the point now? Everybody knows Jones is terrible at Twitter so they should just let him embrace it. Thoughts on Caitlyn Jenner? Tweet away, bud. 2016 presidential election in the swing state of Ohio? Do your worst, man. “Hot Topics With Cardale” is something I’d gladly tune into every week.
As long as Jones keeps winning championships, I think Buckeyes fans will find it in their hearts to forgive him..

He’s still used to being that 3rd string QB with 5-10K twitter followers. Welcome to the spotlight, champ.

11 years ago at 12:44 pmFor God’s sake, the tweet about class is FAKE. It’s a parody account, do your research before you use it in a story
11 years ago at 12:46 pmIt was not fake by any means, I go to Ohio State it is incredibly well known, Urban Meyer has addressed it
11 years ago at 12:56 pm“Is this a peer reviewed statistic” oh shut the fuck up.
11 years ago at 1:15 pmForgive him?? I think we can all agree with him here…

11 years ago at 1:40 pmAs a man who has denied a thing or two in his day, I gotta say that last tweet was a little overboard. It was believable when he first said he was hacked. Next time just leave it alone after that, Cardale.
