^ Actually supply-side economics has a long and consistent record of success. If you read something other than the editorial page of the New York Times you’d know that.
Ahhh, trickle down economics. Did ever occur to anyone that trickle down economics didnt work because the middle class was be choked by the government? You hear liberals complain that “the rich” pay too little taxes and need to be taxed more to pay their “fair share.” What if “the rich” are already paying their fair share and the middle class are just paying too much? What if the middle class just paid less too match the rich and then the government just fucking spend less? I hope im preaching to the choir.
Wow, did you really just use Rex Nutting as your source to “disprove” supply-side? Rex Nutting was the guy who claimed that Obama actually reduced federal spending while in office, a statement that was so absurd even liberal economists ridiculed it.
How many middle class Americans have had their shoes shined? And please, refrain from commenting about not being middle class. Every user on this site is middle class. The 1% don’t come to TFM to prove themselves. You can find them on the Forbes list.
According to the DOL, having a household income north of about $400k puts you in the 1%. You really think no one on this site falls under that category?
Greeks usually come from wealthy families, so I don’t see the argument here. It wouldn’t surprise me if people on here are from the 20%-15%, or the 14-10%, even the 9-5%, or hell, even the top 5%. People affiliated with Greek life tend to be in these ranges. To my knowledge, this is not middle class.

13 years ago at 10:59 pmIn fact, it has been proven countless times that changing the marginal tax rate(supply side economics) doesn’t stimulate investment. Don’t take my word for it though, take a look for yourselves.

It’s pretty obvious there is no relation. Let us leave it at that.

13 years ago at 9:32 amHe may be downright wrong most times, but this time he’s not. This is a case where his argument is backed by government data. You can find it pretty much anywhere, here is another example.
