Chipotle Is Now Delivering To 40-Plus College Campuses, You Have No Reason To Leave Your House
Everyone who has ever had Chipotle knows the most strenuous, exhausting part about it is having to actually go, walk in, and order it. That’s wasted physical energy that needs to be conserved for your big intramural game.
Now, students across the nation will be able to stay home and get delicious burritos delivered to their front door.
Starting this fall, Chipotle is rolling out delivery to more than 40 college campuses. The taco/burrito chain has teamed up with food delivery app Tapingo to give hungover college students even less of a reason to move out of bed.
At least they know their market.
From the USA Today:
Chipotle started offering delivery to broader markets earlier this year as part of partnerships with the services Postmates and OrderUp, but this is its first college-specific initiative.
Chipotle said the delivery option is about staying connected with younger consumers. ‘Chipotle has been popular with students going back to our very first restaurant near the University of Denver, and we are always looking for ways to better engage with them,’ said Mark Crumpacker, chief creative and development officer at Chipotle, in a statement.
Delivery fees for the average Tapingo user sit around $2.99. If I’m already making it rain for extra guac, that’s just a bump in the road to my burrito. Average delivery time also clocks in around 25 minutes.
Chipotle delivery through Tapingo is already available at Arizona State University, California State University-Chico, Louisiana State University, University of Arizona, University of Southern California, and Northern Arizona University.
Here are the new universities it’s coming to:
California State University – Fullerton

10 years ago at 5:59 pmMy family has made a living in agriculture for 168 years. I am the 9th generation to be raised on our family’s farm. I refuse to give this trashy company any of my money. Their ill-conceived and slander laden ads are ridiculous at best. I’m surprised to see an article like this here.
