CNN Anchor Says Dallas Shooter Who Tried To Gun Down Cops Is "Brave And Courageous"

Late last night in Dallas, a crazy guy tried to gun down multiple Dallas police officers. In addition to firing an automatic weapon out of an armored van, he also planted explosives under the police cars.

After ramming a cop car outside of Dallas PD’s headquarters, he led officers on a chase where they pinned him down in a parking lot. An intense gun shootout had ensued before negotiations took over, and police disabled the vehicle with a .50 cal rifle.

The real heroes of the night were the officers who were able to neutralize the situation without anyone getting harmed. However, if you ask CNN anchor Fedricka Whitfield, she would tell you that the gunman is the hero. Listen to how she described the gunman.

Wow. She probably thinks the gunman is a regular Caitlyn Jenner. So brave. So courageous. Get the fuck outta here. Don’t even try to say you misspoke either. You don’t accidentally use those words together.

I hope CNN is courageous and brave by removing her from the station.

More proof that liberals hate America. It’s sickening…our forefathers are rolling in their graves.

Harrison Lee you’re a mental midget. Courage and bravery don’t necessarily have to be positive characteristics. The gunman was very literally courageous and brave to open fire against a squad of police officers who, expectedly, lit that motherfucker up. This is the kind of targeted reporting that creates such a wide gap between the left and the right. Cut that shit out. Write a story about how brave and courageous the cops were that killed that dude, rather than blasting some insignificant reporter for her accurate (yet poorly worded) choice of adjectives.

What’s courageous and brave about taking potshots at a police station? It’s called “cowardly” you dumbass.

Courage and bravery are positive virtues. The words you are thinking of are “bold” or “without fear”, which could accurately describe his actions .

“So, for instance, they declare courage to be a mean between cowardice and rashness, of which the former is a defect, the latter is an excess, of the spirited part of the soul” – Plato, The Republic
Bold, defined as “very confident in a way that may seem rude or foolish” and “impudent, presumptuous” by Merriam-Webster, falls into the latter category of rashness. But that’s besides the point all together, the way the anchor described his actions was in admiration.

  3. Brave and courageous? No. Sick in the head and needs help? Yes. I think the latter should be talked about more often rather than just damning people.

Needs help? They were trying to murder police officers at random… Think damned is okay.

According to liberals “society made him do that, he can’t control his own actions”

      2. I’m pretty sure mental illness forfeits control, sick mind, sick thoughts, sick actions. If everybody has your self-awareness and self-control, well shit why do we have trailer parks, indian reservations, inner cities, bankrupt municipalities, gangs, you tell me bro, everyone is in charge of their actions and they should just get a job and pursue the American Dream yeah? Sounds like conservative thought, yet nothing. All of those are existing and coming in to existence still. Liberal or conservative the reality is mental health is important, when you have a bunch of angry, apathetic people. Batman can be labeled a psychopath even though he beats up bad guys. Its a complex issue that is rarely talked about it seems.

        I’m not your “bro”.
There is a great difference between making a conscious choice and being subjected to circumstances beyond control. He made the choice to attack a police station, and he found the result of his action. Living in a trailer park or Indian reservation (“inner city”, bankrupt cities, and gangs are mostly black so they’re at a natural disadvantage due to inherent factors) does not make one “mentally ill”. Poverty does not make one “mentally ill” and it does not control the choices one makes. Are there less options for a poor person? Yes. Does that mean a poor person has to choose shooting someone or joining a gang over going to church and being a virtuous citizen, working hard, and trying to make his or her life better without committing crime? No. People in the Great Depression suddenly didn’t start committing mass murders and show “mental illness” as you describe it. Poverty stricken peoples in the 1800’s didn’t start going around and randomly killing people. In fact, I would argue that poor people back then were better citizens than most rich persons today. Actions are not just related to jobs and the American dream, neither of which have to do with a fool assaulting a police station. Though I’m sure your idea of the “American Dream” is becoming some nouve-riche multi-millionaire, for 99.9% of people the American Dream is (or was) a semi-comfortable life with the prospect of social mobility instead of the hierarchal classes and social structures of aristocratic Europe. But that’s besides the point.
Why in the world are you talking about Batman?

10 years ago at 12:45 pm
      4. You missed my point, which is the examination of the this guys thought process leading up to his action and his disregard for others and his own life. Is that mental illness? No? What is it then? A thrill-seeking adventure? I don’t see “normal” “sane” people having shoot outs with cops. Those inherent factors can in fact make a person mentally ill and depression is real due to poverty which is also real. The world is all about choices, however, choices can be muddled with insanity and social forces. Resistance to these bad forces depend on mental strength to make the right choices. Of which is getting weaker and weaker with each passing generation hence “pussification” of America. I have no idea what the American Dream is but it’s always a suggested goal to everyone especially the poor. I’m talking about Batman because we are starting to see vigilantes trying take the law into their own hands, is that “normal” “sane” behavior? Or is it psychotic thinking and behavior? Point is the FBI doesn’t just investigate the crime, they also build profiles on thoughts and motives. But the general public never explores this side, they just see the deed and chalk it up to black and white reasoning.

      5. So we are just going to let crazy people do crazy shit? or Do we try to stem the problem? Mental illness is a rising but unacknowledged issue in America. PTSD, Vietnam War vets being ill treated now we have Hells Angels. School shootings, random shootings. If yall think society doesn’t drive us to be alcoholics or murderers you are dead wrong. Its hatred for society that allows one to detach from it and once they are, they no longer care about your life or mine. So society doesn’t play a role? Its not liberal or conservative thought, mental illness is a real fucking problem.

      6. I can see why this is a hard subject to discuss and people can think this kind of reasoning equates to sympathizing with horrendous people and actions when in reality it’ll just keep happening whether we damn it or not. So I’m just introducing a different viewpoint. Notice how the lady said, “Crazy” as well at the end and that is completely ignored.
