Coach K Trades F-Bombs With UVA Fans After Loss

Duke, this is why no one likes you.

Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski, angry over what he perceived as a lack of crowd control while his Blue Devils tried to leave the court following Thursday’s loss at Virginia, traded F-bombs with at least one fan and had to be restrained by security before being ushered into his locker room.

Proud moment for you there, Coach K? You felt compelled to say “Fuck” to an undergraduate student. You, a 66-year-old man who has his home court named after him, needed to trade off F-bombs with a student who hadn’t even been born when you started coaching at Duke.

“Do you know how close you are to… Just put yourself in the position of one of our players or coaches, and I’m not saying any fan did this, but the potential is there all the time. But they can just go up to you and say, ‘Coach, you’re a …’ or push you or hit you or whatever. What do you do?”

Um, I was there. You had a wall of security guards there to protect you and your loser team. In fact, security had to drag your ass out off the court along with your motley crew because you all felt compelled to remain on the court and verbally assault a bunch of fans who had just won the biggest home game of their season.

“Whatever you’re doing, you need to get the team off first,” Krzyzewski said about 15 minutes later in the postgame news conference. “Look, celebrate, have fun, obviously you won, that’s cool. Just get our team off the court, and our coaching staff, before the students come on.”

What kind of fucking Kool-Aid are you drinking? When has any student section EVER waited for the losing team to clear the court.

“Oh wait guys, we can’t rush the court yet, Mason Plumlee’s ugly face is still down there. Let’s just give him a minute.”

No, that has never happened in the history of any sport. You lose, you get the fuck out. The burden is on you to get out of the way of the winners. That’s how it is in sports, and that’s how it is in every other aspect of life.

It’s a shame to see a man who has led the US basketball team to two Olympic gold medals reduced to this. Get real, Coach K.

      I really think you can’t claim that you have the best all around sports program if you are shitty in football. Nobody cares about lacrosse and women’s soccer. I don’t have any respect for VA Tech either but at least they win some football games.
