$55 Million Worth Of Cocaine Found At A Coca-Cola Plant In France
Coca-Cola and cocaine. One, an addictive substance that roots itself in the habits of children and stays with them for the rest of their lives, and the other, a soda. Once a match made in heaven, the pair of products has separated over the last century due mainly to America’s drug witch-hunt.
That was until this week, when investigators found €50M worth of cocaine at a Coca-Cola plant in the south of France. The seizure of 370 kilograms of cocaine makes it one of the largest drug busts in French history.
From The BBC:
The drug, hidden in bags among a delivery of orange juice concentrate, arrived in a container from South America.
An investigation is under way in Signes, a village in southern France.
The seizure of 370kg of cocaine makes it one of the largest finds on French soil.
The prosecutor of Toulon, Xavier Tarabeux, said the delivery “has a street value of 50 million euros” and referred to it as “a very bad surprise.”
Employees at the Coca-Cola plant have been ruled out of any involvement as investigators attempt to trace the origin of the drug.
“The first elements of the investigation have shown that employees are in no way involved,” Jean-Denis Malgras, the regional president of Coca-Cola, told local news website Var-Matin.
“Arrived in a container from South America.” Shocker. I’m pretty sure 95 percent of all imports from South America have at least some remnants of cocaine in them.
Could drug kingpins be using Coca-Cola shipments as a cover? Sure. But I think it could go deeper. Maybe Coca-Cola is spiking the soda with cocaine again to push more product in France. They’re probably doing it in America, too. It makes sense to me. Piece of Shit Terry, a temp at my office, drinks like four Cokes a day and never shuts the fuck up.
Somebody in South America is getting a stern lecture today from his supervisors for losing around $50M in product in a single shipment. That’s going to put a real dent in the Q3 numbers. I’d expect some demerits if I was him. Perhaps even a demotion.
We’ll keep an eye on this story as it develops..

9 years ago at 1:29 pmPablo murdered thousands of civilians and TFM thinks it’s frat to make a shirt honoring him

9 years ago at 3:21 pmHe and that Che fellow who all the goobers adore
9 years ago at 6:58 pmI always wondered why there was so much praise for him. Sure being a coke smuggler is cool in its own right and his story is interesting. But ultimately he was a terrorist. And one of the worst ones in history
9 years ago at 11:38 pmThere is praise for him because he asserted dominance. Having enough power to go to war with a government as a private individual is pretty fucking baller (even though Pablo was still a terrorist POS).
9 years ago at 9:39 amShit like this is among the many reasons I won’t buy your shirts
9 years ago at 5:01 pmI’m more interested in knowing who these 218 people who bought that fucking shirt are? And why.
