    Steve Jobs and his company is as GDI as you can get. Look at every hipster, skater, etc out there, they all have MACS. No self respecting top 500 company would use a Mac. If you truly think that macs are better in any way, shape, or form, go ask your dad what he uses at his company. He’ll tell you PC and for you to take a lap for even asking that.

      1.The majority of apple’s parts are made outside of the U.S. and they have “designed in California” written on every fucking product. I guess California and paying foreigners instead of providing jobs for Americans is FAF now.

      2. Yeah, step into a real company like Shell, Halliburton, Wedbush, etc and go look for their Mac lab. I guess having an incompatible paperweight is FAF too huh.

      3. Tablets are really useful. I love having something that’s slower than my phone and has less functions than my laptop. But, being hipster and pulling out your Ipad at the drum circle is being TFTC.

      4. And no you stupid fuck, my dad doesn’t run apple and I’m sure your dad does.

      I respect Steve Jobs, just not his company cause of they way they conduct business. Either way I’m not going to waste anymore of my time on this subject.

      Let’s get some shit straight, inhoc:

      I do not own a Mac, nor do I plan to own one, because I prefer the PC. I don’t like the culture that surrounds Apple products. But that doesn’t mean I don’t respect what Steve Jobs did with that company, and the way they do business. They were in the shitter when he took over, and a decade later they have a stranglehold on the laptop, desktop, and smart phone market, and in essence created the MP3 player and tablet market. Traditional powerhouse PC manufacturers have been tanking in the past 5 years, largely in part due to the success and popularity of Apple products. Ever see any IBM laptops at Best Buy anymore? Why don’t you google “HP stops making computers” and see what pops up? Better yet, here you go: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=HP+stops+making+computers

      There’s a little place in California called the Silicon Valley, have you ever heard of it? It’s the cradle of technology in this country, so it makes sense that Apple would be from there. And you can bet your ass that 90% of products designed by the engineers and computer scientists that work in every one of the companies in that region, including PC makers, are not produced/assembled in the United States.

      And you’re plain ignorant if you think Macs are “incompatible paperweights.” For several years now, Windows operating systems have been compatible with Apple computers (via products called Parallels, Boot Camp, etc.), as is the entire Microsoft Office suite, and any other self-respecting software product. For now, PCs are the most economical hardware option available, but it’s simply a matter of time before more companies make the switch. The simple fact that your dad has a 4-year-old HP desktop at the office doesn’t make it the best option.

      Finally, regardless of their functionality, tablets as we know them today didn’t exist before Apple invented them. It doesn’t matter if you think they’re worthless, because millions of other people don’t, and are willing to shell out hundreds of dollars to play Angry Birds on a bigger screen.

      So if you think running a business so successfully that…
      (i) people go batshit crazy to buy your products as soon as they debut, no matter how trivial the “improvement”
      (ii) you destroy your competition so badly that they throw in the towel
      (iii) you invent stuff for shits and gigs and wind up creating a brand new market
      …is doing it wrong, I wouldn’t want to be right, either.

      Anywho, I’m pretty sure this building is fucking haunted and/or a drunk hobo is trying to beat down the door, and my addy is wearing off, so good day to you, sir.

    Not to undermine the validity of this post, but the biggest company in the world is Walmart, followed by ExxonMobil and then Shell. Apple actually doesn’t show up on that list until number 119, behind Hewlett-Packard (29), IBM (57), Sony (68), and Microsoft (106). Apple may make good products, but the fact that it is consistently twice as expensive as the competition and caters to the hippie, creative movement is NF.

      Look at the market caps: XOM>AAPL as of close yesterday. So not largest employer, market cap, or highest revenue = Apple’s not the world’s largest company.

    Growing up rich, inheriting your wealth, and living off a trust fund will always be FAF, but you’d be lying if you ever said that it wasn’t just as frat if not frattier to go from not having much to being one of the richest men in the world. He may have worn dad jeans and turtlenecks, but Steve Jobs embodied the American fucking dream. His detractors may all go to hell, and I will continue to use my Macbook.

    RIP Steve Jobs. You will be missed.
