Colorado Inmate Files $89 BILLION Lawsuit Against NFL For Overturning Dez’s Catch
Finally some football news that has nothing to do with Tom Brady and his deflated balls. Terry Hendrix, an upstanding citizen currently incarcerated in a Colorado prison, is suing the NFL for $88,987,654,321.88. He’s suing on behalf of Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys fans everywhere, and all people in or from the sovereign Republic of Texas.
Hendrix names NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Vice President of Officiating Dean Blandino, and referee Gene Steratore in the suit for gross negligence, breach of fiduciary, duty and reckless disregard. The full, handwritten suit is below:
You’ll notice that he knows enough legal jargon to make the suit seem about as legit as a handwritten lawsuit could seem, stemming from what I assume is personal experience listening to his lawyers speak.
Then there’s the absurdity of the suit’s dollar amount. While almost $89 billion is an incredibly large sum, adding the 88 cents and just listing numbers in descending order from nine to one is what really tells us that this guy wants to stick it to the NFL. I’m sure if this guy wasn’t behind bars, he’d be taking on big business everywhere and not a stumbling homeless man wearing a tin foil hat..
