I don’t even remember the last time we had a Casino Friday, which makes sense because this last month or so has been the darkest period of my entire life. Holidays are usually filled with family and joy and giving and fun, but I’m trying to pull myself out of the depths of sadness and despair.

Food has lost its taste. I never leave my couch. I don’t respond to texts or phone calls. The sun never comes out. Or maybe it does — I don’t know because I never go outside. And it’s clear why: Casino Friday was missing from my life, along with my will to live.

The wait is over, and I can once again seek happiness and fulfillment in my life, because it’s finally Casino Friday again.
