Determined Student Brings Record Player To Bump Kanye During Exam After Teacher Bans Phones

It is a well known fact that high school kids are the most obnoxious assholes on this planet. They’re selfish, and smug, and have zero respect for any authority. Usually that is a very negative character trait to have. But I kind of admire the determination of this one little shit from Vancouver, Washington.

After a teacher explicitly stated that no phones would be allowed during his exam — not even to bump some tunes — a hero by the name of Wyatt didn’t wallow. He didn’t concede, and blindly follow the rules. Instead, he analyzed the situation, found the best option, and calmly went loophole city on the whole operation.

I cannot overstate how much I love this move. This kid easily could have brought in an old iPod or CD player. He could have been a total dick and whip out the ol’ walkman on ’em. But instead, Wyatt went with the most obnoxious and unnecessary option of all: a giant fucking record player.

It’s kind of like the equivalent of when your girlfriend suggests you go on a break, and then you haul off and bang all of her friends. This kid is just fully exploiting the ambiguity of the rule.

“Listen teach, you clearly said no phones. This isn’t a phone. Case closed. Now let me get back to breaking down these covalent bonds while I vibe to the sweet melodies of All Falls Down.” College Dropout is an all-time classic.

Hope he got an A.

When this site started, being a selfish, smug, obnoxious asshole with zero respect for any authority was a TFM.

Also, if it’s high school kids it doesn’t matter even if it’s FaF. It’s high school so it sucks.

Y’all I think I figured it out. vaginator is a girl!

Think about it. No guy would want to be a VAGinator. And what guy gets THAT emotional about what is essentially nothing?

That’s why she’s always talking about girls’ booty holes and never their vah-jays! She doesn’t want to deal with the fact that she has the same genitalia as the babes of the day!!! It all makes sense now.

Lets wait for her to take the bait and then, if we can be nice and supportive she’ll show her tits.

Are vinyl records not the most try hard thing going right now? Especially if you’re not playing them on quality amplification.

MAYBE the stuff that was recorded analog but if it was made and recorded digitally, what is the point of reproducing it analog?

Because of the boon in vinyl sales, some recent re-pressings of stuff that was originally recorded digitally have better (as in looser) compression so, for example, a vinyl of Graduation might sound better on a player because its more dynamic.

Totally agree about playing them on quality amplification though, people that buy a record player to look cool then send it through bluetooth speakers are just fucking idiots since that recompresses the sound and negates any quality boost you’re getting from vinyl in the first place.

Is every vinyl version of something modern going to have that difference in compression/dynamics? Or only certain ones? And if only certain ones, how do you know which ones?

Only certain ones, it varies from label to label and even band to band within that. You can really only tell by listening or looking at reviews from people who’ve bought them. It’s kind of shitty but some labels get away with putting out basically an identical quality (to a CD) pressing on vinyl and claiming that JUST because it’s vinyl that its higher quality.

But the good thing is, again, because of the growing vinyl market, people are demanding quality pressings of modern stuff too.

I’m perfectly happy with my 8-Track tapes. I just wish it didn’t break Inna Gadda Da Vida into four different sections.
