Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate Is The New Prime Minister Of Canada Following This Star-Spangled Beerception

Having watched the Detroit Lions for the majority of my life and even, at times, happily rooted for them, there are certain things about the team that I take to be givens.

1) They’ll probably never win a playoff game in my lifetime (yes, even with Matt Patricia).

2) They’ll continue to struggle against the Packers as long as a healthy Aaron Rodgers is playing.

3) Their greatest contribution to NFL lore (save for Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson) is employing one of the frattest individuals to ever play the game: Matt Stafford.

Ok, so that last one is more of a preconception based off Stafford’s University of Georgia past, the fact that he married a smoking hot former cheerleader, and how he seems to be most at home at a kegger or boat party. But it’s a preconception I’m sticking with until someone proves otherwise.

I’ll have to admit though, Lions wide receiver Golden Tate definitely challenged my preconception of Fratty Matty’s status as #1 Lions party machine ever so slightly when he pulled off one hell of an epic beerception while partying in Canada over the weekend.

You had a good run, Justin Trudeau, but rules are rules, and I’m pretty there’s an old Canadian bylaw stating that once you chug a beer in such a fashion, you are now officially the leader of the Great White North.

Now he would probably turn down such an offer, but know that if he chose to, Golden could be throwing ragers in the Prime Minister’s mansion as we speak, and there’s nothing anyone could do about it.

Alex Karras was more frat than Matt Stafford. He owned a bar, was suspended for betting on NFL games, endorsed LaZboy recliners, and played Mongo in Blazing Saddles. Matt Stafford is a tryhard.
