Devil’s Threesome, Dead Police Officer, Adultery, $3 Million Lawsuit
This story might be the holy grail of internet keywords. If only some kittens were involved. Back in 2009 31-year-old Atlanta police officer William Martinez collapsed and died while having a devil’s threesome with another police officer and a woman who was not his wife. The strenuous police brutality sensuality caused Martinez, who apparently had an undiagnosed heart condition, to have a fatal heart attack. I like to think it happened right at the moment Martinez and his partner completed the Eifel Tower double high-five. What a way to go.
Enter Mrs. Martinez, who was awarded $3 million for the improper diagnosis that the jury ruled was 60% responsible for her husband’s death.
The jury on Friday found that Dr. Sreenivasulu Gangasani and the Cardiovascular Group were 60% to blame for Martinez’s death from atheroschlerotic coronary artery disease, agreeing with the plaintiff that the doctor did not properly diagnose and treat Martinez for high blood pressure, chest pains, shortness of breath and irregular heartbeat.
Mrs. Martinez and her attorney were originally seeking $5 million, but because the jury considered William Martinez and his decision to have this much gentler version of a blanket party 40% responsible for his death, that settlement was lowered to $3 million. However the doctor still took most of the blame, because he failed to warn Officer Martinez about staying away from strenuous activities. So for future reference, motel three-ways fall under the blanket of “strenuous activity” when your doctor tells you to take it easy.
