No, Donald Trump Is Not A Brother Of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI)

Ever since Donald Trump selected Mike Pence as his running mate, there’s been chatter about how Donald Trump and Mike Pence are both brothers of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) who are teaming up in fraternal bondage (less sexy than it sounds) to run America, shotgun tall boys on the White House lawn, and date rape us all into oblivion.

Sorry to disappoint, but that’s just not the case. Despite his status as the inamorato of numerous fraternity members across America, Trump is a GDI.

While overall verity is not there, there are two interesting facts that undoubtedly led to the dissemination of this misinformation (not including the fact that he acts the part and is also listed on some random fraternity clothing website as being a brother of Phi Gamma Delta).

Mike Pence is, indeed, a FIJI

Pence joined Phi Gamma Delta while a student at Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana (and we actually have his composite photo). He served as chapter president, not vice president, which has to make you wonder whether or not Pence is secretly hoping for an impeachment so he can relive his glory days. I wouldn’t be surprised.

Trump’s son, Donald Trump, Jr., is a FIJI

So a Donald Trump is a FIJI, just not the Donald Trump. That’s probably where the core of this misunderstanding lies. Sadly for President Trump, the legacy process doesn’t work in reverse…

Or does it? Has anyone ever tried to join their son’s fraternity? That’d reek of desperation and be indicative of a father who’s just a tiny bit off, but if it’s a thing, then I guess technically Trump can enroll at an accredited university and become brothers with both his son and VP (as well as Danny Regs and me). Would you honestly put that past Trump right now? I wouldn’t..
