ESPN Doesn’t Want the SEC to Win Another National Championship
While I would definitely like this year’s National Championship game to feature an offensive matchup that isn’t the equivalent of a cripple fight, there’s no way it would be interesting without an SEC team. You’ve got to take down the king if you want to sit on top of the mountain. Also voodoo doesn’t seem like an effective deterrent against SEC dominance. Guarantee that witch doctor is an LSU fan.
Funny how ESPN wants the team from America’s second largest, and NFL-less, city to contend for the title. Sluts.

ESPN doesn’t have a Big Ten bias- it has a ratings and tradition bias, and will always push for schools like Florida, USC, Michigan, Texas, etc., regardless of conference.

They had the whole fucking season to make it into the top two spots, but they didn’t. What kind of bullshit is this idea that the #1 and #2 teams shouldn’t be in the NC? Regardless of who the teams are. If the BigTen could take the #1 and #2 spots (Just laughed so hard I may have peed a little) then they should play, end of story.
12 years ago at 6:17 pmYou clearly don’t remember the 2006 season. OSU and Michigan WERE #1 and #2 (when they played) and they almost had a rematch in the championship. Just goes to show how having teams from the same conference play in the NC means jack shit.

I hate USC, while they tend to always show up for big games and dominate, they also have a tendency to lose to inferior teams like Washington and UCLA.
