F-16 Thunderbirds Put On An Awesome Show During Air Force’s Graduation Ceremony

Currently, my roommate who is in the Army is taking a week of leave to be in Colorado to watch his younger sister get commissioned and graduate from the United States Air Force Academy. He’s pictured here with his sister giving the first salute.

While the graduates are the ones who shone brightly during these two ceremonies, there was an awesome flyover show from the F-16 Thunderbirds after the newly commissioned 2nd Lieutenants were given the “dismissed.” My roommate caught it all on camera for your viewing pleasure.

They definitely did not disappoint. Congrats to all those who graduated from the USAFA.

Side note: my roommate’s sister is kind of a badass. Besides being an Air Force graduate, she also was the MVP of their gymnastics team after getting the school record for vault, placed 2nd at nationals in vault, and 5th on the floor, and a first team All-American. She is also going to pilot training from here.

That is awesome! Tell your roommate to tell his sister “congratulations” from us. Service academies are no walk in the park. It takes a special kind of person to make it through all four years.

I take solace in knowing the roar of our jets is the last sound that a terrorist hears.

I’m an air traffic controller in the Air Force, and recently got to work with these guys during an air show.
If you ever have the opportunity to see this show live, I highly recommend it.
    They won’t disappoint.
