    The classic image is historically inaccurate. Given the weather at the time of said event, the rowboat pictured would never have made it. Realistically, they must have used deep well barges similar to the design when we invaded Normandy. This being said, one can only assume that George Washington was in a power stance , as his body would not have been visible

    i’d disagree somewhat. there were actually three crossings. one was completely halted because of ice flows which were in fact in the river. and Gen Washington himself led the first crossing in close to hurricane conditions as a snow storm erupted during the crossing. in the dark of night. in fact, he was one of the first to land and led his troops. while i think ppl may disagree about whether the ‘power stance’ was real or not, the planning for the attack and it’s course took an incredible amount of balls to pull off.
