Fired Kyle Field Construction Worker Claims To Have Sabotaged Parts Of The Remodel

He’s baaaaaaaack! Remember the construction worker fired for hanging an Alabama flag from Kyle Field? Well, according to his Facebook, hanging that flag is the least of his antics.

If what he claims on his personal Facebook page is true, he essentially sabotaged parts of the Kyle Field construction project. While I do not fully believe this moron has the intellectual capacity to pull off a successful sabotage attempt without setting off alarms, I’ll play along anyway.

According to MySanAntonio.com, Livingston’s Facebook updates aren’t too encouraging. Livingston said he essentially sabotaged Kyle Field on Facebook. In a post on February 28, Livingston wrote, “This stadium will never be ready for this. Season (sic),I’m putting iron in backwards and wrong holing everything!!”

As if that wasn’t enough, Livingston also made another post in April that said, “If you ever attend a Texas A&M football game, don’t sit at the Northeast End Zone, it was raining today and I made 2 very “questionable” welds!!”

The director of facility services for the chief engineering firm at Kyle Field claims everything receives thorough inspection from a third party.

“All steel fabrication has been observed and critical welds tested/verified at the plants by the third party firm, Raba Kistner Engineering. Once delivered to the site, field welds, moment connections, and bolt torquing are tested/verified in accordance to building code and engineering specification by the third party inspectors. Structural engineers of record review the inspection reports as well as conduct site observation/review of the in place steel,” Hawryluk said in a statement to KBTX.

Regardless of the validity of the fired worker’s claims, I’d imagine there are some serious inspections happening today at Kyle Field.

There is some good news to report, however. All trees in the vicinity of Kyle Field appear to have survived the ‘Bama onslaught. Small victories, people.
