Fleeing Assault Suspect Busted After Posting Selfie To Facebook While On Bus Out Of Town

I get it, honestly. Look how fresh this guy looks. You don’t let an outfit like this go to waste. That’s a must-selfie shirt if I’ve ever seen one. He bought this shirt with selfies in mind. Who cares if you’re in geometry class, on the back of a tandem bicycle, or fleeing from police on assault charges, you snap that selfie 100 times out of 100 and post it to every social media account you have. That’s Selfie 101 stuff.

Donald Harrison, 22, was charged with assaulting a woman in the Pittsburgh area before splitting town on a Greyhound bus headed for his hometown of Spartansburg, South Carolina. Police knew that’s where he was headed because he posted his intended destination on Facebook, too. This fucking guy.

An hour after the woman called police, police learned that Harrison, who is originally from Spartansburg, South Carolina, posted the Facebook message, “IT’S TIME TO LEAVE PA.”

Police couldn’t find him right away, but [Ambridge police Chief James] Mann said the woman called him Sunday afternoon after she noticed the Facebook selfie with the message saying, “OMW TO SPARTANSBURG SC SAY A PRAYER FOR ME.”

Mann inquired with Greyhound and found the location of the bus that young Donald was on and intercepted him after obtaining an arrest warrant, with the assistance of Greyhound, in Youngstown, Ohio. He was booked on “simple assault, unlawful restraint and reckless endangerment, among other charges.”.
