Florida State Plans To Bitch Slap “College Gameday” With A Protest
“College Gameday” is coming to Tallahassee for a second time this year, Saturday, for the Florida State-Notre Dame top five matchup. Because every Seminole fan has the impression that the media, especially ESPN, is out to get Jameis Winston and FSU in general, students are organizing a protest for Chris Fowler and company.
Attention #FSU fans going to #Gameday: We’re trying to get everybody to sit on the ground, backs to the stage in a silent protest of #ESPN
— Brenden Martin (@brendenmartin28) October 14, 2014
I really think that all #FSU students should boycott #espngameday
— Katie (@KateTheGreat007) October 14, 2014
If FSU student body had any self dignity it would boycott @CollegeGameDay

I get it, ‘Noles fans–the worldwide leader can be nauseating at times. As much as your boy Danny Kanell fights on your behalf, the simple truth is that ESPN is linked with an entire network for the SEC. Plus, as much as it might hurt your inner being to admit, there’s no better conference in the land, thanks in part to a west division with just a stupid amount of talent.
Ask any Ole Miss fan, though: “Gameday” is not a right. There’s no better way to wake up Saturday morning than by watching Herbie, Corso, Fowler, and the gang do their thing before you head over to tailgate. You assholes have had the privilege of having these gentlemen break it down for five of your games the last two seasons, not including the National Championship, and that’s more than any other school in the country.
Tallanasty, I’ve spent many a drunken night at Potbelly’s and Bullwinkle’s to know you’re just a top-notch university loaded with talent on and off the field. However, your insecurities are more noticeable than Red Lightning bolting down the sidelines. You’re national fucking champions after all–it’s time to start acting like it..

Wow, your star QB had rape allegations against him, steals food from the supermarket, and is being investigated for an NCAA violation. What is ESPN supposed to do? Not report it? Ignore it? I hope Gameday boycotts you dipshits.
11 years ago at 9:12 amThey absolutely should report it. The issue I have and many FSU students have is the biased reporting of facts. ESPN and many major outlets resorted to only reporting one side of the story because “Heisman Qb gets away with rape” makes a much better headline than “Star Qb accused of rape, accuser’s story doesn’t add up. ” That being said they boycott is a dumb idea, if anything they should be out in full force showing that the students still support the team despite all the negative press.
11 years ago at 9:44 amThe words “Heisman QB gets away with rape” have never appeared on ESPN, ESPN.com, ESPN2, etc., you fucking drama queen.
11 years ago at 11:06 amI was making a point but nothing I can say will change anyones opinion. If you listen only to what espn, b/r and pretty much any source outside of Tallahassee says about Jameis and Fsu you’d believe that we all think that the law doesn’t apply to football players, that we all think rape is fine and as long as we get a title out of it then its a necessary evil. And that pisses me the fuck off
11 years ago at 11:36 amEvery expert that’s been interviewed on this subject agrees that the accuser’s story does, in fact, “add up” and her behavior is consistent with someone who has been raped. She called friends, the police and her family immediately after it happened, even though she didn’t know the name of her assailant until a month later. She showed every signed of rape trauma and showed every indication of having been given a date rape drug. Winston on the other hand, doesn’t have a story to “add up.” But his behavior certainly is consistent with a man who is guilty. His first story was that wasn’t even there. When the DNA test finally came back he quickly changed that. He made no attempt to clear his name through a police interview and he avoided their requests for an interview. Instead he lawyered up with a sleazy attorney and went about being the Dwayne Hoover of his college campus. Read this and get educated, you ignoramus: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ugly-treatment-of-jameis-winston-s-accuser-only-serves-to-discourage-future-victims-034943507-ncaaf.html
11 years ago at 11:48 amGood lord I couldnt even make it through that whole post. She did not show signs of being given a date rape drug, her tox report came back negative for any date rape drugs. Her blood alcohol content registered at .048 so an estimated .01 at the time of the “rape”. She changed her story multiple times and her friends that were with her even stated that she wasn’t intoxicated. Two other football players testified it was consentual but I’ll admit its entirely possible they lied. Possible, not definite. Not to mention she stopped cooperating with the school and police and then decided to press charges after the story broke on TMZ. And to your point about lawyering up the case was brought to Willie Meggs who is known for going after FSU football players even to a fault, look up how he went after Travis Johnson and how quickly that case was dismmised. I read your article now read mine, never accept one side of a story as fact before you know the other. Yes this article would obviously be biased in favor of fsu
http://floridastate.scout.com/story/1463613-correcting-misconceptions-on-jameis-winston
11 years ago at 12:35 pmYes, I already read that article and there are quite a few things missing. No, she was never tested for a date rape drug. Meggs was quoted as saying that her behavior was consistent with someone who had been drugged, but among the many things that we’re botched in the investigation, was the fact that there was no test for those types of drugs performed on her. Lastly as to your smear that she “changed her story,” that is not correct. She was deemed uncooperative because she did not want her boyfriend to get involved in the case, something TPD insisted upon, (which, by the way, is a great way to get a rape victim to drop her case – something DeAngelo tried to get her to do once he found out it was an FSU football player). And she had trouble remembering the details less than 24 hours after she was raped, something that is consistent with someone who was drugged.
11 years ago at 1:15 pmFuck it. Let’s just get some beer and call it a day. I’ll buy the first round in tally after we win, but not for you DarkoM. You probably drink Mike’s Hard Lemonade
11 years ago at 1:55 pmSo you’re saying a girl has to be drunk or drugged in order to be raped? Fuck you.
11 years ago at 1:27 amTrue. Let’s not forget the fact that she deleted text messages, said she was hit on the head by her attacker, and was texting a friend about quiz answers a mere hour after she was supposedly raped. Typically the people with the worst comments on the subject are ones who have never read the police report…which is apparently a “cover-up” by a sixteen year veteran of the TPD who has an impeccable record…and supposedly “covered-up” for a red-shirt freshman who hadn’t yet taken his first snap on the field!
11 years ago at 7:16 am^ according to foxsports and nytimes stories, Tally PD leaked the rape report to FSU PD, who then gave it to the FSU athletic department, who then gave it to Winston’s lawyer to prepare Winston’s story. THAT is why Winston was never charged. Because his lawyer had 4 days to prepare a narrative for Winston, casher and the other guy..
11 years ago at 1:02 pmCan you all take this circlejerk somehwere else?
11 years ago at 1:14 pmYou’re a piece of fucking shit. Ugly treatment of Jameis Winston’s accuser serves to only discourage future victims. You and the rest of the inbred trash that support this need help. Further, who the fuck would want a degree from that shithole when he’s the face of the school? Optics and brand power of an FSU are at an all time low.
11 years ago at 1:15 pmA&M did the same thing with the Manziel hype. Anything bad about Johnny was “bias”. Once again, we have a star player who continues to make questionable off the field decisions. His status creates the story.
11 years ago at 10:13 amMaking money off your own likeliness and rape/theft are pretty much the same thing, makes sense.
11 years ago at 10:19 amJohnny went to a couple parties, and allegedly signed some memorabilia for a few bucks. Jameis allegedly raped a girl (and had a history of sexual assault allegations in his highschool days), got caught on camera stealing, and during the midst of a rape investigation – had the grand idea to walk into a student council meeting, jump on a table, and yell out “fuck her right in the pussy”.
Tell me again how Manziel was the same thing.
11 years ago at 11:05 amI didn’t equate the two. I said both continue to make questionable off the field decisions. Do you want someone to be the face of an organization who can’t get their shit together when they are off the clock?
11 years ago at 11:34 am“(and had a history of sexual assault allegations in his highschool days)”
For real? Details?
11 years ago at 12:23 pm“student council meeting”
student union.
I agree Winston isn’t 3/5s of what Manziel is but gotta report the facts.
11 years ago at 8:54 amWhile I despise the mere existence of ESPN (as of past decade or so), let’s act like adults here. History proves that student body ‘boycotts’ don’t work. How about y’all show up, drunk, and have your football team win? That’d show ’em.
11 years ago at 9:21 amI just hope they be scrong in their protest and don’t give in
11 years ago at 9:24 amDey ain’t leavin’ without a victory!
11 years ago at 9:39 amFuck College Gameday right in the pussy
11 years ago at 12:01 pmAt least they’re not going to slap them right in the pussy.
11 years ago at 9:50 amIf the student body had any self dignity it would embarass itself by immaturely reacting to a news source that tells them what they don’t want to hear.
11 years ago at 9:51 am*wouldn’t fuck laps taken
11 years ago at 10:02 am” I swere to God I ain’t sale no autograps!”
11 years ago at 10:28 amThe guy signs thousands of autographs before and after games.
11 years ago at 7:18 amFor years, FSU has been coddling it’s athletes while they rape and beat women. It’s no wonder that the student body believes that stuff is normal behavior and that simply reporting the facts about it is being “blatantly negative.” Here’s a newsflash for you dullards down in Tallahassee: You had a goddamned roofie factory operating out of one of your frat houses for years. Your coaches have covered up for and coddled players who have committed some seriously heinous crimes over the last 30 years. Are you really surprised you get negative reporting? If you don’t like it, go root for a team that doesn’t rape and beat women.
11 years ago at 10:34 amThe Feds are going to fuck FSU right in the pussy for Title IX violations, when they withhold funding that makes the football revenue look like peanuts and then they’ll lean on the NCAA to give “the program” the death penalty. How could anyone let their daughter go to FSU? Read the Sunday Times cover story. Tallahassee and FSU are fucking scum
11 years ago at 12:29 pmPlease, for the love of God, go spout your rants on fucking Jezebel or some equally shitty site where people actually may care about your pussy shit.
11 years ago at 12:31 pmwhy do you know the name of a feminist blog? just some curious internet browsing? I’m sure your porn viewing gets curious too
11 years ago at 12:35 pmYes, we get that you like rape, little man. People who are as pro-rape as you are usually fall into one of two categories: 1) Rapists or 2) closeted, frustrated homesexuals with mommy issues. Which one are you?
11 years ago at 1:05 pmI don’t like rape hippy, I just don’t give a fuck if he’s guilty or innocent until a court of law rules which one he is. If he’s legally guilty, fuck him; rapists make a case for reviving eugenics. If he’s legally innocent, then I hope he sues her for slander and she becomes a streetwalker for pulling this shit.
11 years ago at 6:36 pmShe didn’t “pull this shit” you oafish fucking idiot, but thanks for taking Winston’s dick out of your mouth long enough to respond. This girl has been universally slut shamed by assholes like you, run out of town by assholes like you, humiliated by the police, suffered through the humiliation and sadness of having to break this horrific news to her parents, and has had to listen to a bunch of rants from Winston’s sleazy attorney, all of which have the only purpose of humiliating her in public. Her crime? She was dumb enough to take a goddamned drink that was brought to her by Casher’s and contained a date rape drug. The fact that it can’t be prosecuted is pretty fucking irrelevant you perverse fucking drop-out stoner cretin. Stick to your lengthy, detailed discussions about what semen tastes like. You’re much better at that.
11 years ago at 8:23 pmYour insults are weak, your argument logically flawed, you sound like you take a strap-on on the reg, and you get way too heated about an alleged violation. Repeat. ALLEGED violation. And how is it “irrelevant” that it can’t be prosecuted? I don’t know what totalitarian system you grew up in champ, but in American society, we have this beautiful little clause intoned as “innocent until proven guilty,” not “guilty until proven innocent and even then still guilty” as you liberal fucks espouse these days. Again, go use some inane, speculatory news agency instead of one where people judge facts.
11 years ago at 2:03 amYea we are in frats bro we don’t care about rape. It’s a TFM.
11 years ago at 1:31 pmNice article, you whiny fuck.
11 years ago at 10:38 amJamies has gotten away with literally every one of his like 7 scandals and the only punishments he’s had is a one game suspension. FSU still wants to keep bitching?
11 years ago at 11:09 amWell if dey gon’ do it, den dey betta do it big
11 years ago at 11:23 am
