Florida State’s Alpha Phi Chapter Is Building A New House And It Looks Awesome

The ever escalating arms race between Greek life, university housing, and off campus luxury living is an entertaining one. It seems like every other day there is a new, way too nice, outrageously luxurious manor for college students to live in. Remember that old “poor college student” stereotype? Yeah, that should probably be considered dead at this point. We’re living in nicer residences than most Americans.

One great example is Alpha Phi’s new house at Florida State University. Since they’ve only been on campus for two years now, having recolonized in 2011, they obviously needed a house near campus. After all, 15 other sororities have them, and let’s face it, everything in Greek life tends to be one big pissing contest, ergo, they need a house. In fact, they need a great house. By the looks of it, that’s what FSU Alpha Phi is about to have.

Though it’s still under construction, sorority sisters will move into the completed house on January 4th, just in time for the spring semester. In all, 44 Alpha Phis will be living in the house. According to some of the floor plans I’ve seen, they’ll have some pretty luxurious accommodations.

The Alpha Phi house will be located next to the Delta Gamma house, which I would give my left nut to live within ten blocks of, or haven’t you seen their bid day video?

The new APhi house features a massive foyer, a grand staircase, living rooms, dining areas, a sun deck, study areas, lounges, a huge chapter room with a stage (that I’m assuming will be able to double as a movie theater if there’s a projector in there), and of course, many bedrooms. Here, take a look for yourself:

I like to imagine that the gigantic, unlabeled right portion of the basement floor plan is for hazing. Sexy, sexy hazing.

Overall, I’d say the Alpha Phis at FSU are going to have a pretty nice house come January. Well done ladies.

They’re the second oldest chapter at UO and have one of the newest houses so i can second that even for the old chapters.

Watching other Greek organizations get million dollar houses while my alumni can’t contribute a penny to even help recruitment. TMyHouseM.

^^ I joined the second pledge class of my house. My father owned his fraternity house as an alumni for a while. Man up, we all don’t get strong alumni bases you have to make them sometimes.

Let me just be a hater for a second.

Why are you posting Bob Ross paintings and floor plans as visual evidence. Nobody actually admires the floor plan or the amateur sketch. So this place has rooms, doors, and stairway. NO WAY.

Second: This “multi million” is not impressive. Grew up in a 4 bedroom, million dollar house. So obviously any fraternity house should cost 2 or more million dollars.

Personally you need to show a picture of the house completed to like 60% or you need to pass on publicizing the coloring book drawings.
