As a native Floridian, I have been exposed to Florida’s senior citizens for much of my life. On a semi-related note, I have also been exposed to by Florida’s senior citizens for much of my life. Usually it’s the really senile ones who have no idea what they’re doing, but every once in a while you’ll see that look in their eyes and you know that it was a conscious decision. Damn geezers.

While exposing oneself is undoubtedly frat, a recent study provides evidence that may just place Florida’s crop of senior citizens among the most frat in the country.

Via First Coast News:

A new national study is singling out Florida’s seniors for their unhealthy lives, in particular their love of alcohol and (maybe not coincidentally) their chronic health problems and struggles with mental health.

The good news: Sunshine State residents who are at least 65 years old tend to be among the nation’s most physically active and least obese in the nation, helping to get Florida’s overall senior health ranking to the mid-level No. 28 spot.

The study notes that Florida has the seventh highest amount of chronic drinking seniors in the United States and ranks fifth in the nation for physically active seniors. The study also mentions Florida seniors’ struggle with mental health issues.

I’ve done some intense thinking, as well as minimal research, and believe I have found out the reason why the study found what it found.

Golf.

Think about it. They’re old, so obviously they’re gonna be a little off. Furthermore, these old farts are drinking on the course while they walk it, making them active alcoholics. I know. I’m smart as fuck. That’s how I got into DeVry.

Being a little fucked up in the head, but not letting it affect your golf game and drinking habits. It’s a TFM.
