Former Ohio State Basketball Player LaQuinton Ross Sent Out Fantastic Email Asking For Help From Classmates

When LaQuinton Ross was recruited to “The” Ohio State, his commitment to the Buckeyes was originally delayed by an NCAA investigation regarding his academic eligibility. Not much came of it and he joined the team mid-December. A four-star recruit getting his grades swept under the rug in favor of him firing up the rock — shocking, I know. Fast forward to the 2013-2014 season — Ross, in his junior year, helped solidify one of the best backcourts in the country along with Aaron Craft. The Buckeyes got off to a scorching hot start going 15-0, only to stumble down the stretch, barely make the tourney, and get ousted by in-state “rivals” Dayton in the first round. I like to imagine this downfall had everything to do with an email LaQuinton Ross sent to fellow classmates in regard to a final paper assignment in December.

So few words, yet such greatness packed in each line. You know you’re in for a treat when the salutation in the email involves “lol.” Also, clarifying in a politically correct manner exactly who you are, like they don’t already know, is fucking hilarious.

This is purely speculative, but I assume no one responded to his mass email, he struggled mightily with the paper, it screwed up his psyche, and he never recovered. How else can you explain a first round exit in the tourney and LaQuinton forgoing his senior season to enter the NBA draft when he wasn’t even projected to get drafted?

Hang in there, buddy. Italy ain’t so bad.

  1. So the story is that a college athlete was struggling with a class and asked his classmates for help? Who makes the decisions to post this shit?

With that much brain damage I almost expected him to be one of Mike Rice’s players.

Robert Woods sent my 200 person class at USC an email saying he died at the beginning of the semester and just came back to life, so could someone send him notes for the whole class.
