Former OU Coach Barry Switzer Calls Johnny Manziel An “Arrogant Little Prick” And “The Best He’s Ever Seen”

The NFL Combine is in full swing this week, and Barry Switzer is taking this as an opportunity to talk to people like he’s in “The Real World” confessional. Wednesday morning, CBS Sports Radio 920 AM in St. Louis hosted Switzer, who called out Johnny Manziel, saying he is an “arrogant little prick.” Switzer went on to say, “I’ve said that and I’ll say it again. He’s a privileged kid, he’s embarrassed himself, he’s embarrassed his teammates, his program.”

I don’t know what kind of a ballgame Switzer has been watching, but Manziel singlehandedly brought back the antagonist into the college football program and kept the game interesting on and off the field–not to mention, he helped Texas A&M skyrocket back into national prominence. It’s as if Barry never took the time to check out all of Johnny’s work with student relations, his philanthropic work to fundraise for the community, and his PR work for a betterment of society. Open your eyes, Switz–the NCAA is finally getting something right.

However, Switzer couldn’t stop running his mouth. He went even further to state, “He’s embarrassed his coach. And they’ll all have to defend him because they have to coach. I know that. I spent 40 years in the damn game so I know how it works.”

Barry is quite the knowledgeable chap, and he knows what he’s talking about. Let’s not forget Barry’s crystal-clear track record that he’s made for himself over the past 40 years. Under his guiding hand while coaching the Dallas Cowboys–yes, the dynasty Dallas Cowboys–Barry had some compassionate moments, such as the Michael Irvin scissors to the throat incident, Deion Sanders’s drinking habits, and, of course, the creation of the “White House,” which became a safe haven for the Cowboys’s use of strippers and drugs. Why yes, ol’ Barry knows exactly what a good football man looks like, and Manziel doesn’t fit those high Switzer standards.

But have no fear: Johnny Football isn’t going to leave the American consciousness anytime soon. Switzer decided that one foot in his mouth wasn’t enough, so he put his other one in as well and continued on his absurd rant against the college football heartthrob by completely contradicting himself.

“He’s the best I’ve seen. I’ve never seen a quarterback in college football take control of a game like he does and put up the numbers he does. It’s fantastic what he’s done against good competition. Game after game after game the numbers he puts up are staggering.”

It’s official. Even those who hate Johnny Manziel can’t actually hate Johnny Manziel. Maybe it’s his wit and charm, maybe it’s his demeanor and ungodly talent, but it’s probably because Johnny is the epitome of TFTC.

Try asking any of the cheerleaders from OU in the past 30 years and they could give you the answer you are looking for

You could have made the same point and saved us like two minutes by simply saying “I want to fuck Johnny Manziel.”
