Former Senator Lott To Lobby For Police Involvement In Campus Rape Cases

National fraternities and sororities have hired former Sen. Trent Lott to lobby for legislation that would prevent colleges from punishing students accused of sexual assault without police involvement.

The legislation Lott is pushing for would ensure due process for all college students accused of sexual violence before the school administration can hand down a punishment.

This legislation really has nothing to do with Greek life, and everything to do with ensuring the rights of all students.

But the Huffington Post, my source on the news, paints the legislation as though it limits justice for victims and ALLOWS THOSE PRIVILEGED WHITE GANGS TO GET AWAY WITH RAPE.

About that. The only thing it limits is college administrators, who have no business handling sexual assault cases, from holding all of the power in these delicate situations.

This would benefit victims, too. Lots of fraternities are shut down because of false rape accusations, but there are also lots of women who are raped without justice. The reason? Campus rape investigations are conducted by people who aren’t suited to conduct investigations. The fraternity is shut down and that’s the end of it. Every single brother is now publicly shamed as a rapist. Meanwhile, the one kid who did commit rape gets off without any legal punishment. This is what’s happening all the time on college campuses right now, and it doesn’t bring justice or peace of mind to anyone involved.

But who can we turn to that possesses the forensic resources to conduct an investigation into the most complex and challenging crime of our generation? Oh, right. THE FUCKING POLICE.

It’s a no-brainer. Let’s pass this legislation and make it mandatory for college rape cases to be dealt with by professionals. Hell, why isn’t this already a thing for all felonies?

I never thought I’d see the day when Steve Holt > Something. If you see this, Steve, don’t let it go to your head you are still despicable in my eyes.

Don’t worry. With the amount of criticism my articles receive, my ego will always be smaller than my dick.

Every second you spend responding means there is another un-sucked dick somewhere out there.

I can see these liberal administrator’s responses already. “We can’t let cops get in the middle of it, they will just blame the black guy!” I hope Senator Lott does a damn good job getting police involved. It blows my mind how this has been going on for this long.

That title of the Huffington Post article is literally some of the most shamelessly biased propaganda iv’e ever seen…as if fraternities are trying to silence victims which is the furthest thing from the truth…they are just ensuring due process and punishment for the guilty.

Its massively offensive to the many women who couldn’t see their attackers get due process over the years as well. And since Huffington Post is a bunch of SJWs I can’t believe they put out that article. Fucking pieces of shit with zero integrity.

I’m surprised that you read anything from Huff Post. Regardless, good on Senator Lott for pushing towards a logical solution to this issue at hand.

Frankly, this needs no legislation. We already have legislation. It’s called the fucking constitution of the United States. What good is another piece of paper going to do if spineless government officials refuse to enforce the law. Look at the Huffington Post. Anyone who advocates for rights guaranteed by the constitution wants rapists to run free. It’s absurd logic brought about through necessity. In order to justify their destruction of the American way of life, progressives must go to expansive lengths to create that justification.

Universities are funded by the government. As such, they are subject to the constitution and to the rights guaranteed by it. This includes crazy things such as freedom of speech and (believe it or not) the fourteenth amendment right to due process.

Didn’t mean to offend Hillary. It was more of a commentary on the liberal methodology of circumventing constitutional law than it was a direct attack against Hillary. Having said that, Fuck you and Fuck Hillary.

Would love to see this. All the cry wolf stories at fraternities finally put to rest and all the athletes that are able to get away with rape because the university sweeps it under the rug to help the team get the punishment they deserve.

NPR actually had a decent article about this where they argued campuses are now reverse discriminating against those accused by expelling them without giving them a chance to defend themselves. Hopefully this legislation will solve that

Liberals like these tout great literature like The Crucible and To Kill a Mockingbird, but are total hypocrites when it comes to protecting usually white males. Because somehow supporting due process means supporting rapists. If I was a lawyer with enough money to last a lifetime, I’d just take these cases against the schools pro bono year round.
