Former UNC Player Says Team Had Girls Take Their Tests Before Running Train On Them
UNC athletes have been under scrutiny lately. First, they had a paper class that met once a semester. Now we have the story of UNC players getting females to do their schoolwork before having sex with them.
A former defensive lineman, Tydreke Powell, took the time to call into a local radio station to discuss his time at UNC, which included promiscuous studies and how Butch Davis told the team that if any of them were here for an education, they should have gone to Harvard. This is funny, because UNC is a pretty good school academically and these kids typically don’t have the grades to go to Harvard.
Listen here:
There is a lot to take in from that interview. First and foremost, the basketball players have it easy. They don’t even show up to class and get chicks to take their tests. Secondly, how about the four football players who would run a train on that girl after she finished their work? Poor girl. Lastly, from his comments that players were told to intentionally fail an aptitude test in order to get “note takers,” it sounds like UNC could be in a world of trouble if more players begin to speak out. This doesn’t help Roy Williams or the UNC basketball team’s case at all as they try to dodge any sort of repercussions from this..

11 years ago at 11:29 amBecause if he had we wouldve gotten an impeccable article on the meaning of life, with the same title that it has now. Not that thats a bad thing..
11 years ago at 1:15 pmEvery time i read one of his articles i have to spend a solid 20 minutes contemplating what i just read
11 years ago at 5:46 pmSo basically, there was a smart girl at UNC who also had a terrible relationship with her father…
11 years ago at 11:39 amWon’t see this type of scandal in the SEC. We keep it classy!
11 years ago at 8:38 pmWorst Dorn parody account ever.
11 years ago at 8:36 amThat ignorant fuck as a degree from Chapel Hill––a top 5 public college in the nation––and talks (and likely writes and reads) at literally a second or a third grade level.
11 years ago at 10:11 pmWho gives a baker’s fuck? Allen Iverson went to Georgetown, do you think him acting like a moron has affected his alma mater? Fuck no, they’re athletes, nobody in their right mind associates the intelligence of a dumb athlete to their alma mater.
But given your past (the guy who consistently jacks off the US and World Report Rankings), I’m not surprised you have a problem with this.
11 years ago at 10:54 amIt speaks to the integrity of the college when these braindead idiots get in, which is made even worse when you give them a diploma, especially a diploma from an elite school (in this case, UNC; in the case of Richard Sherman, Stanford). To be clear, college isn’t the minor leagues. It’s STUDENT-athlete. Do people care A.I. went to Georgetown? Yeah, actually they do. Thompson was a sleazy fuck, who snuck in barely literate kids to play hoop and then drop out. It’s a chapter most prominent alums are disgusted with. The big donors don’t want idiot thugs running around campus, cheating on everything, trying to run trains on their daughters or stealing laptops from dorms. Your issue with my rankings savvy must mean you’re still bitter you were rejected from an Ivy or Duke, which you really wanted to attend. Examine your motives.
11 years ago at 8:07 amRichard Sherman had a 4.0 in both high school and college. I thought TFM had gotten rid of the Klan enthusiasts?
11 years ago at 3:22 pmRichard Sherman went to high school in Compton, so the GPA means jack. Further, he had an extremely average SAT and followed it up with an average Wonderlic (24, compared to his teammate Luck’s 37). With an entire athletic department behind him he got a degree in…communications. What proof do you have of his intelligence? You’re obviously a simpleton who let ESPN brainwash you into thinking Sherman is a genius.
11 years ago at 9:16 amThe funniest thing in this article is when you say UNC is a good school academically.
11 years ago at 11:50 amThe funniest part of this comment is you’re a State student which means you couldn’t get into UNC and now focus your energy on hating Chapel Hill.
11 years ago at 12:36 pmI’m definitely not a State student. I’m not even in North Carolina.
11 years ago at 12:48 pmI hate to break this to you, but not everyone that goes to State didn’t get into UNC. Myself included, there are plenty of students who chose State for any number of reasons. Putting that aside, many of us do not hate UNC. We are merely enjoying the absolute dumpster fire that your athletic/academic scandal has become over the past few years. It is enjoyable not out of spite, but because of the holier-than-thou “Public Ivy” and “Carolina Way” bullshit that you all perpetuate. So it’s not the undeniable prestige of the institution, it is the arrogance of the douchebags that inhabit it that makes it all worthwhile.
11 years ago at 1:46 pmNorth Carolina and NC State are cost neutral. Therefore there are literally zero reasons why someone would choose State over UNC. Stop lying. I’m glad you got 24 of your inferiority complex suffering NC State friends to upvote your ignorant comment. Nobody has ever believed you actually got into UNC. Pro tip: stop embarrassing yourself and own it that you didn’t have the stats in high school.
11 years ago at 10:18 pmever consider he wanted an engineering degree?
11 years ago at 2:43 am1) Their engineering school is janky and ghetto. 2) A degree from UNC in just about anything (even the showcased communications) is more valuable than any degree from NCS.
Parchment says 90% choose UNC over State, when faced with acceptance from both. Only an easily manipulated complete moron would forego all of the effort in high school and a UNC acceptance letter to attend a GROSSLY inferior college (#29 vs. #95).
11 years ago at 7:27 amDo you mean to say that a communications degree from your beloved UNC is worth more than an engineering degree from NCSU?
Do you hear the arrogance in your words, or are you just too stupid to care?
11 years ago at 9:28 amAt least you didn’t come across as one of those arrogant douchebags I was talking about.
11 years ago at 8:53 amWho says UNC is a good school academically?
11 years ago at 11:53 amUNC is a public ivy dumb ass.
11 years ago at 12:20 pm“public ivy” is one of the stupidest classifications in existence. That isn’t a real distinction.
11 years ago at 3:57 pmGoing to a public ivy is a lot like the special olympics. You get a shiny medal, but you’re still retarded.
11 years ago at 12:54 pmThis would be funny it was true. But it isn’t.
11 years ago at 1:03 pmMake like a tree and fuck off lahey
11 years ago at 3:15 pmThe Boulevard’s mother not only helped Tydreke write his paper, “The art of anal fisting: a guide to unique sexual fetishes” , but proved to be a key piece in the content of his research. Tydreke received an A that semester in his human sexuality course, she received a solid D and HPV.
11 years ago at 11:55 amThe NCAA is stuck up UNC’s ass. They deserve the death penalty.
11 years ago at 11:59 amI hope they do
11 years ago at 1:14 pmA tutor who would get you 100% then smoke pole… These UNC stories never fail to amaze me
11 years ago at 12:24 pmSounds like a typical occurance at schools with big sports programs
11 years ago at 2:53 pmDuke doesn’t have this problem. Just an issue with a couple lacross guys who don’t know what consent means.
11 years ago at 12:50 pmI’m going to get the pledges together and make them drink every time Tydreke says “You know what I’m saying?”
