Fraternity Brothers Of FSU Face-Eater Respond To Reporter’s Questions With Harambe Knowledge
When 19-year-old Austin Harrouff, a member of Alpha Delta Phi and student at Florida State University, stabbed a middle-aged couple to death and ate the face of one victim in what appears to be a bath salt-fueled rampage, a reporter for the local Palm Beach Post contacted Harrouff’s fraternity brothers for an interview.
The brothers responded to the reporter, Christine M. Stapleton, by dropping some serious Harambe knowledge. She took to her public Facebook page to express her frustration in a post that has since been deleted.
When I checked out her profile on Thursday, she was still getting #woke by Harambe truthers.
Ruthless.
I get it though. These men are still trying to wrap their heads around the horrible situation, and a reporter comes prying into their lives asking questions? Hell naw. Considering how the media usually treats fraternity men, I’d troll her ass too.
But at the end of the day, she was just trying to do her job. Now that she’s backed off, it’s time for these guys to do the same..

Ok, I get that these jokes aren’t funny anymore, and there’s no way I’m buying one of those t-shirts….but this had me close to tears.
9 years ago at 5:41 pmShe is hitting up people on social media whose friend is on a ventilator and accused of murder and is surprised that she is receiving a poor reaction???
9 years ago at 5:47 pmOf note she is also bipolar and an alcoholic. Her performance on the hot/crazy scale is abysmal.
9 years ago at 7:13 pmIf I were an ugly female I’d drink myself into oblivion too
9 years ago at 8:20 pmWish she had stayed drunk and out of public view.
9 years ago at 8:57 pmWould you have the courage to say that to me in person or is it just because you are hiding behind the anonymity provided by the internet? Please let me know because I’d be more than happy to Skype so you can say that to me in person.
9 years ago at 11:10 amThrough Harambe I have the courage to do anything
9 years ago at 11:41 amIf you are speaking to me I would have no trouble saying any of this to you in person.
You are an embarrassment of a person. You prey on people at their moments of weakness so that you can write a story to try to win an award to make your miserable life feel more fulfilled when in reality the article you write wind up in a recycling bin in their best scenario and as a bid cage liner as their more fitting end. What a pathetic life you live.
You contacted people when their best friend was on a ventilator and he was accused of murder and continued to harass them when they clearly weren’t interested in answering your questions so that YOU could write an article. When they didn’t respond the way you wanted you flipped on the typical liberal bullshit victim card and posted on the internet how you were being picked on while forgetting that you were the aggressor. Your actions show your mental illness and it’s associated lack of ability to empathize.
You are an ugly person inside and out and I have no trouble saying it to you in real life but here are the ground rules. Skype is not “real life”. Feel free to fly my down and I will tell it to you but you aren’t allowed to use the experience in your writing. You aren’t allowed to play to victim card and reach out for sympathy from external sources. You have to listen to what I say and internalize it. Deal?
9 years ago at 7:46 pmAlso get the fuck off a website meant for frat humor.
9 years ago at 7:48 pmStill anxiously awaiting your response to my offer.
9 years ago at 7:06 pmWould I react that way? No. Do I care if these guys do? No, handle your problems as you see fit. Whining about it on the Internet is a surefire way to make sure people trust “journalists” even less.
9 years ago at 6:02 pmAlso, dicks out
9 years ago at 6:02 pmThe comment that made reading this article worth it
9 years ago at 5:06 pmEveryone in that article is a fucking moron.
9 years ago at 10:27 pmAnd look who wrote it. Only Sibs is turning out anything half way decent lately.
9 years ago at 10:59 pmFor fucks sake why comment. Keep your fucking mouth shut. It’s really not funny when you think about the negative side people will read this. When something stupid happens shut the fuck up. It’s really simple. These morons give fraternity men a bad reputation
9 years ago at 12:12 amYour dick clearly hasn’t been out much.
9 years ago at 10:39 am“But at the end of the day, she was just trying to do her job. Now that she’s backed off, it’s time for these guys to do the same”
9 years ago at 7:15 amIf the general public starts associating the murder of Harambe with a fratzombie and insensitive fratards then Grandex won’t be able to sell their shitty, made in China, t-shirts
Stop killing memes
9 years ago at 10:23 amI’ve been high but never so far out as Jupiter. Guy must’ve really been tripping.
9 years ago at 9:56 pmEither way, TITS OUT FOR HARAMBE!!!
9 years ago at 9:56 pm^^Drunk me thought saying that would be funny. I am ashamed of my actions.
9 years ago at 12:12 amThis is Christine Stapleton, the reporter for The Palm Beach Post, who has been the target of this bullying. I am 57-years-old and have been a journalist for over 30 years. I would like to explain what happened.
After a 19-year-old college student brutally murdered a couple he did not know and nearly killed another man, I sent the following private message to 14 people who I though may might be friends or fraternity brothers of the killer. Why? Because we were told his fraternity brothers were so concerned about his behavior and whereabouts that they went looking for him and the national office of the fraternity put out a press release.
Here is the PM Is sent:”My name is Christine Stapleton and I am a reporter for The Palm Beach Post. I am looking for people who know—for a story I am writing. If you know—, could you please give me a call? Thank you. 561.—.—-”
I found their identities on Facebook. You can call this “trolling” but I call it good journalism. Social media is used these days to find sources, information, and photos about those we write about. (“Trolling” social media is also used by your prospective employers and your girlfriend’s parents.).
If a reporter wants to get in touch with a 20-something-year, she turns to social media. It kinda makes sense.
NONE of those 14 people responded to my inquiry. However, one of them must have made my request known to the internet because I was bombarded about text messages, posts, tweets and anonymous phone calls – many from young men in fraternities – about Harambe.
These comments attacked the my profession, my reporting, my appearance, and the fact that I am a recovered alcoholic (18-years-sober) and have been diagnosed with hypomania, a form of bipolar disorder.
Particularly insulting was a meme of Harambe saying “Fuck You Christine Stapleton.” But most disturbing was a tweet making reference to a story I wrote about the victims – who were just weeks away from meeting their newborn granddaughter.
“Very delightful read. Did you know Harambe was a mere week away from having grandchildren of his own. Tragedy.”
I took down a FB post on my timeline about this prank because I feared the family of the victims and parents and sister of the killer would be hurt if they read what you posted. Also because I did a lot of stupid shit when I was in college and drinking.
I have written this because I refuse to be bullied. I will not take down my FB page because many of the more than 1,200 people who have friended me use my account to keep up with my blogs about alcohol and addiction.
For the record, I am a fan of Greek life. My daughter was president of her sorority. But you have only reinforced the stereotype many people have of fraternities. Those of you who participated in the bullying should be ashamed of yourselves.

9 years ago at 12:01 pmReally?! Nobody’s gonna say it??…But first, after diligently perusing this calculated diatribe I’ve come to a sincere conclusion. Either you have absolutely no common sense, or take yourself far too seriously. Granted, the responses to your requests were immature; however, your decision to address it in the comments section of a satirical website could be in the Hall of Fame for asinine decisions. In what world have there ever been any exchanges of substance within a comments section, let alone a satirical one. The mere fact the only reply was a Harambe meme must be a statistical anomaly. Because I generally dislike people who take themselves too seriously, I’m going to quote a comment from a number of other articles on this satirical site, “Show us your tits.”
9 years ago at 4:20 pmPretty sure you don’t want to see those tits. I would go with a simple “Get the fuck out”
9 years ago at 7:03 pmAre You Kidding Me: Do you really wish I had stayed drunk and out of public?
9 years ago at 11:08 amYes. Now get the fuck out of here.
