So, let me break this logic down. Two $50 watches is worth a $2,500 annual fee. I’m not saying there aren’t perks to the black card, but this isn’t close to one of them.

    To all the haters-

Everyone knows that the AMEX Centurion card only goes out to celebrities or billionaires that are known to spend millions per year on it, and at last count there were only 412 Americans with a 9 digit net worth. Black cards are still pretty fratty and while this Swatch, while still pretty sick for a casual watch, isn’t the best gift they’ve handed out to their cardmembers, they’ve sent out some sick shit in the past.

Oh and with membership also comes a concierge service aka a bitch to call up whenever you need tickets to an event, reservations, etc. TFM

It is well documented that you have to spend in excess of $250,000 per year on an AMEX card in order to qualify for membership as well has having a pristine credit score. It is a rare card to come by, but certainly not limited to the 412 Americans you are referring to. A lot of businesses have a Centurion corporate account as well as many small business owners and other wealthy professionals such as doctors, lawyers, wall street ballers, etc…

The AMEX gold card also comes with about the same concierge service. If you look at AMEX forums, a lot of clientele are pissed with how shitty the Centurion service has become.

The are a lot more reputable “sick” watches, as you say, other than swatch. An omega, stainless rolex, or perhaps even a tag are more appropriate in a casual setting.

@TheFratSignal you make some valid points. I only took the time to comment on this because it was just funny to me that people were commenting on this saying the black visa is for “poor people” when most of them probably don’t have any premium card themselves.
