Teddy Roosevelt was shot in the chest by a saloon bartender, then proceeded to deliver a 90 minute speech while bleeding from his chest without any medical attention. He was the first president to fly in an airplane, founded the first National Parks, was an avid and dominant boxer, he hunted and killed on safari almost all of the African species that are still displayed in the Smithsonian Insitute, he was the first American to win a Nobel Peace Prize, and he also was awarded a Medal of Honor. So yeah, I’d say he’s kind of a fuckin badass. And you, “alex the stud”, will live and die insignifcantly. So I guess you aren’t the best judge of whats “frat”.

Oh, no doubt, as a war hero, he was a TFM. But as a president, his policies of “Speaking softly and carrying a big stick” were quite NF, on the other hand. He earned himself the nickname “Trustbuster” because he ruthlessly brought down big business and rich people. THAT is the opposite of frat. Just like any one of us could be totally frat right now, and then start wearing cargo shorts and Ed Hardy.

Speak ‘softly’ and carry a big stick is much better than this post. Teddy’s statement was a comment on being a gentleman but having the power to hold your own. He alluded it to American policy as well. Being loud just makes you a tool that gives fraternity guys a bad name.

Our current FP is much similar to this post than Roosevelt’s original comment.
