Gatorade Trolls LeBron And Powerade After His Game One Cramps
What’s the Internet’s required response to any athlete who doesn’t perform up to expectations? Troll the fuck out of him, of course. That’s exactly what everyone did after LeBron James’ performance last night in Game 1 of the NBA Championship Series.
Our own @RogerJDorn had some fun at LeBron’s expense:
However, that’s not the real story here. The real story is Gatorade’s hilarious tweets in response to several random Twitter users’ comments about LeBron’s cramps.
After being accused of letting down a star athlete, Gatorade quickly clarified that it had nothing to do with James’ poor play.
Gatorade also didn’t enjoy when people accused it of sponsoring a rival client.
What’s the real moral of the story here? Don’t drink “something else” unless you enjoy Internet ridicule.
It’ll all be okay, BronBron.
It appears as though LeBron was actually drinking Gatorade during the game, meaning the Gatorade social media team is as stupid as they are hilarious.
