If ridding the world of this incredibly vile pair of sperrys is stupid, I don’t really want to be intelligent. Believe me I’m doing the planet a favor.
I’m going to take laps for this because everybody is close minded and wants to be a round peg in a round hole. But boat shoes aren’t as sick as they’re made out to be. It’s still a staple for your closet, but so many GDIs have them. Loafers, drivers, and a classic pair of new balances are what you should be wearing.
I don’t wear my nice ferragamo loafers or new balances in the basement, that’s just a waste of money. If your house is doing it right you shouldn’t be able to wear those shoes anywhere else after stepping foot on that floor.
No my floor is spotless because we have a committed pledge class that prefers to have a clean house and does household chores voluntarily. Also I don’t wear my black labels in my house. I wear my cole haans and brooks brothers penny’s and drivers consistently though. Yeah they’re scuffed and stained but that just gives them character. And if your new balances aren’t dirty you’re not doing it right.
Really because they’re able to clean every drop of alcohol off of the floor when the house is open? Seems sort of unlikely. My new Balances are dirty, but I refuse to wear them with khakis or shorts, thus the boat shoe which is durable and hides stains pretty well so they look decent enough when the lights are out.
That was clearly sarcasm about the pledges. I never said they are a bad shoe. I said they aren’t all they’re cracked up to be on this site. I wear my cole Haan drivers with shorts. They look fine. I have like 3 pair of sperrys. I said they were a staple of your closet. But seriously, if sperrys had a penis, y’all would be sucking it 24/7. And I wear my new balance 565s with khakis and shorts. My 993s though, yeah those are strictly for jeans. Also if you’re concerned about messing up the shoe, you shouldn’t own them. That’s just my opinion.
