I had the same thought. I think there’s a lot of “I’ll show you who’ll probably get lapped!” mentality around here. Probably also helps that this guy’s user name is what it is. I mean, who would tell a soldier and proud father to take a lap?
It doesn’t hurt that I’ve been around here for a while either. But you’re right. I just know the mentality around here has kind of always been “I’m happy I’m not a father on Father’s Day”. I can’t say I disagreed with that before I had children. Although I’m going to get payback for everything I ever did in college. I have a blonde hair, blue eyed daughter. I’m fucked.

11 years. But in father/daughter time, it feels like 11 minutes. Man, it feels like I just brought her home from the hospital after she was born. Next thing I know she’s in school. After seeing this video, I made sure I gave her a big hug as soon as she got home from school today. There aren’t words to describe.
After being home about week after being born, my ex asked me why she didn’t hear the “click” of the car seat being locked in place. I didn’t know there was supposed to be a click. Apparently I’d been driving around with the baby unsecured in the back seat of my truck. It’s a wonder she’s made it with me being her dad.
If I see one more stupid advertisement with Cuba Gooding Jr. and a bunch of low key idiots from comedy central I just might put my fist through my computer screen.
