The great thing about live TV is that something could happen at any moment that sends producers into a state of panic. I can’t count the number of times this happened while I worked at FOX Sports, like when Tom Grieve forgot his mic was hot.

One Vegas TV station can empathize with what happened to FSSW. During a live report on the $500M Powerball, a reporter asked a local man what he would do with the winnings. His answer was gold, and real.

Love it. The reporter wasn’t too happy. Sure, the guy didn’t give the PC answer everyone gives when asked what they’d do with the money, but that’s boring. You’re going to give the money to your friends and charity? Yeeeaaahhh right. At least this guy is keeping it real, and in today’s America, that’s refreshing.

What would you guys do if you took home the $500M? Me? Personally, I’d probably hit up Vegas, do what this guy said he’d do, taunt the intern with the cash, and settle down in a nice little $10M home in the Westlake ‘burbs. I’d have a butler, too, whose name is Woodhouse. Man, that would be livin’.
