Guy Pulls Gun On Kid In Movie Theater, Forgets How Bad Of A Thing That Is To Do

I’m sure you’ve been in a situation where a small child has kicked your seat while on a plane or at a movie theater. You were probably pretty irate about the whole situation, and couldn’t wait until you were miles away from that snot-nosed brat. However, I can almost guarantee that you didn’t pull a gun on that sucker. Well, this guy did.

From USA Today:

Police say that at a Saturday screening of Star Trek Beyond in Paducah, a man got up and swore at the boy behind him, asking him if he was going to keep kicking his seat. “The boy’s father interceded and a fight broke out between the two men, police said in a Facebook post, per the Hollywood Reporter.

“As the father got the upper hand in the fight, witnesses said, the other man pulled a gun and said, ‘What the [expletive] are you going to do now?’ ”

Police say other moviegoers ran for the exit when they saw the gun. Three men, including theater employees, escorted the man outside and waited with him until police arrived.

He was not arrested at the time, but police say they plan to seek charges and will present their evidence to the McCracken County Attorney’s Office on Monday. The man has been banned from Cinemark property.

So the rest of the moviegoers understandably panicked and got out of there, causing an uproar and drawing police attention. This is terrible form by the angry fellow, as #theatershooting was relatively recent. Also, who do you think you are pulling out the superior weaponry in an otherwise fair fight? Indiana Jones?

My favorite part of this is when the guy delivered a classic one-liner, “What the [heck] are you going to do now?” If you’re going to whip out a gun in a movie theater, and you really shouldn’t, that’s how you pull it off in the most suave manner possible. I hope the kid learned something from the whole ordeal.

And they wonder why people don’t enjoy the theater experience and download the movie. Even without the gun, a kid kicking your seat and a bad father willing to fight over it instead of disciplining his child is reason enough to stay home.
