Hazing In The NFL: Eagles Rookie Stuck With Outrageous Dinner Tab

Lane Johnson, the Philadelphia Eagles’ 4th overall pick in 2013, “voluntarily” picked up the dinner tab for his fellow offensive linemen on Friday night at Philadelphia’s upscale Del Frisco’s Steakhouse.

He tweeted a photo of the check.

The total: $17,847.86, gratuity included. And here’s a better look at the itemized dinner tab:

Now I’m dying to know what a $275 shot of Remy Martin Louis XIII tastes like and if I should expect to reach full climax soon after taking it. My favorite item on this receipt is easily the $3,495 bottle of Screaming Eagle Cabernet that someone snuck in while ordering dessert, right there between the cheesecake and bread pudding–a “fuck you” bottle of wine that equals a month’s take-home in the average American household.

It wasn’t hazing, though, because Johnson paid for it voluntarily…

This is in no way hazing, it’s just a friendly bonding exercise.

What kind of Classless piece of shit tries to brag about how much money he can spend on dinner then tells people to stay out of his business when he post it on twitter.

If this was a fraternity (probably a lower amount) and it got out. The school would hold an investigation, the newspapers would write articles and it could possibly be detrimental to the fraternity. Happens to the NFL or any sports team it’s just all good ol’ fashion fun. Which it should be! But the hypocrisy geared towards fraternities just drives me nuts.

The act of being on a boat on the Great Lakes partying with hot sorority sloots.

It’s not really rookie hazing, when he’s technically in his second season in the NFL.

He’s not a rookie. He’s a second year player, just the youngest member of the O-line.

Why isn’t this about Johnny Manziel? I only come to TFM to read about Johnny Manziel.
