Here Are Two Charts That Illustrate The Awesome Dominance Of The U.S. Military

reags

First a chart illustrating U.S. military spending compared to other countries. You’ve probably heard that we spend more on shit that kills than the next ten countries combined before. It’s not really a new stat, and it’s one that the whinier liberal types complain about all the time. So while this isn’t anything all that revealing, it’s still pretty badass to see.

That’s what we call “fuck you” money.

The second chart, in my estimation, is far more impressive, visually speaking. Aircraft carriers are the backbone of any good navy and, if this chart is any indication, America has the only good navy in the world. Not only is it a good navy, it’s a terrifyingly badass navy. The spending stat is one thing, but this just isn’t even fair.

Bow to us, world. We are your ocean lords.

The only way America could more impressively display its nautical dominance is if George Washington emerged from the sea with Poseidon’s severed head stuck onto the ocean god’s own trident, with a pregnant Ariel from The Little Mermaid in tow. That visual should probably be a Navy patch, by the way.

Anyway, just your daily reminder that ‘Merica kicks a whole lot of ass.

After Roger Dorn’s recent Twitter rant about another website stealing an article word for word from TFM, don’t you think it’d be a good idea to make sure when you use one of Jason Heuser’s works you’d not cut out the link in his photo to his shop, http://www.etsy.com/shop/sharpwriter, or at least give him credit somewhere on the post?

    Just a thought

Fixed with a link. Definitely not intentional (like that egregious plagiarism the other day). Just got cut out when adjusting the image parameters for the story (714 x 400). Thanks for the link.

Also we have nuclear submarines that sit in all the oceans ready to drop some ISBNs if ever needed.

I was a little confused to see France on the first chart. I wasn’t aware it cost fifty billion to not finish a trench system.
