Alabama Law is great…for Alabama. But its name bars students from consideration at the best firms in the country (Milbank, Sullivan, DLA Piper, etc). And perhaps Emory can be counted as a good Southern law school, but Atlanta isn’t exactly Southern.

There are northern cities that have more Southern culture than Miami does. South Florida shouldn’t even be part of the state – it should be a territory like Puerto Rico or something.
UVA, Duke, Texas, Vandy and even UNC, UGA and Alabama. All good law schools, and the first four are fantastic.
