Ideal Songs For Porch Drinking: It’s Familiar
There’s been a lot of talk about beef this week. What’s the best beef? Where’s the beef? Who beefed who hardest? The answer to those questions are, respectively, all cuts of beef, Wendy’s if we’re to believe the advertisers, and Vince Papale beefing Elizabeth Banks in Invincible because you know my dude’s sausage game is one hundred percent kosher.
Having settled that, the only beef you should be worried about this weekend is the juicy kind you throw on a grill. It’s June baby and that means we are in peak season for crushing a few cold ones on your deck and soaking up those tasty rays. Get your squad together, shake up some tasty tropical drinks, and crank up some hot tunes provided by your boy Karl AKA Tricky Dick Traphouse.
This week’s list features songs from the likes of living legend Willie Nelson, some easy listening by artists like Dawes and Bone Thugs, and a couple tracks to lift up the energy. My personal favorites are “(It’s a) Departure” by The Long Winters and “Funk #48” by James Gang. It’s time to let the music flow and the good times roll.
This week’s additions to the list can be found below:
Or if you’d rather choose from the primary list of over 400 songs check it out here:
Be sure to follow along on Spotify for more tasty jams and shoot some suggestions to @DJCrimeDawg on Twitter. There’s a good chance they’ll make future editions.
Keep on keeping on as we transition to the summer heat and, as always, don’t drink and drive..
Alright then. Let’s rage/chill some porch.
