The United States of Hockey: Beer and cheese curd fueled argument starts now.

Sorry that when you were in the glee club in high school the hockey team was running train on your girlfriend.

Ha, sorry boss, there are no high school hockey teams in the south. Nice try though.

What you rednecks don’t realize is that hockey is faf. To play hockey as a kid in the states means you must be loaded. It is probably the most exclusive sport in the states to play.

Playing net and dropping 2k+ on custom pads and gloves every other season. FaF.

The thing that pisses me off about this website is that anything the south inherently sucks at (hockey, lacrosse etc..) they just write off as gay.

I’m from the south, and I don’t have anything against anyone that plays hockey. I just find it boring to watch. I’ve tried to watch a few games, but I can’t ever see the puck when they get around goal and don’t know what the hell is going on. I do enjoy the fights though.

South sucks at lacrosse? NC, GA, some schools in TN, and TX all have nationally respectable teams.

There are some good teams from the south but the average team from the north would run train on the average team in the south.

I’m glad to see some of the southerners on this site can talk about this topic like adults though.

Lax is more of a mid-atlantic (I consider NC to be mid-atlantic for lax purposes) and new england sport, but its a sport that can work anywhere. Its just annoying to hear the rednecks rail a sport when its truly faf. Also, I can understand how hockey games in the south are boring. If you want a true experience, there is nothing like a bruins-canadiens game. The players hate each other, the fans hate each other. There is almost no more intense and violent rivalry in sports.

I feel the same way about soccer. I’m not saying it’s faf or anything, but if you actually understand the game it’s fun to watch. Most people that hate soccer don’t understand how hard it is to actually play, and can’t respect the talent that it takes to play it. It’s kind of the same thing for hockey.

Hockey is filled with GDI immigrants from Europe and Canada not fratstars from America. Hockey is NF by definition.
